Bruce Pearl was here one year longer than Butch Jones, and Barnes has matched or exceeded every major accomplishment Pearl had here.

Mears was great for his time but he also failed to win a single tournament game at UT, even with Ernie and Bernie.

Barnes is the clear cut GOAT of this program at this point.

While I agree, I doubt the “Pearl Necklaces” will allow this to stand unchallenged.

When this team makes the tournament, Barnes will break the school record set under Pearl of 6 consecutive made tournaments. This year would be the 7th straight.
