any chance Tahje Boid commits this weekend?

I have a really good feeling about tehaj boiyde. I bet we get a commitment before nov, and he ends up backing out if we change coaches.

I thought that Tahj Boyd was going to be a glimmer of hope for the vol nation to focus on this year due to his apparent enthusiasm toward UT. The fact that we are not on Heastie's list makes me very uneasy about Boyd.
Sure we have a darn good class up to this point but everyone knows that more often than not a team is only as good as it's quarterback. To have all of that talent on the field and nobody to consistently move them down the field is like having a Ferrari with no tires. I pray that Boyd and Heastie are not a package deal, but i'm not so sure.:ermm:

Lets just hope that we impress Boyd enough to save a trip to Boston College.. If he makes a visit there he will not commit to us.. also im not so sure that Heastie has completely ruled us out, we may still be in the mix for him.. especially if Boyd commits

getyopopcornready, I hope you are right, I hope that Boyd is the first to make a commitment (Hopefully to UTK) and Heastie follows suit and its not the other way around. They commited together, decommited together, no reason to beleive that they will not commit again together. I think maybe Boyd is the strongger voice between the two and if thats the case I like our chances. I hope I am right.

We have to get Moses and Bonds, I would love Boyd, but i think Stephens can become a good QB for the future, but getting Bonds a 4 star DT and Moses 5 star OL would be huge. Does anyone know where we are with Peter White, the OG. I know were in the mix

Boyd will be much better than Stephens. UT needs him! He could start as a frosh.

A lot of ppl are saying that we are boyd's favorite and the only thing keeping me from totally believing that is that Heastie has BC on his list and not UT.. but i would be more worried if it were the other way around

And you're basing this on?

I think we all should have learned a lesson about basing our opinion of this on how many stars a guy has

Forget NFL.....college programs need a mobile qb. UT has not had 1 since Tee Martin (NC) don't say Schaffer...he was too stupid to play middle school football. It would help the style of offense Clawson WANTS to run.

good point about the "stars". JC is a bust and so was Schaffer. Big recruits that have or did nothing. But a mobile qb with some accuracy would be great. At least there would be some competition at the position.

I couldn't agree more with the "mobile QB" opinion...having a QB that can run changes everything...when a mobile QB drops back the defense has to account for all the receivers and him instead of just the receivers...

My point is I've seen several people talk about Boyd coming right in a starting(you're not the only one I've seen) and it just blows my mind to see that...

Not only were we just painfully introduced to what an overrated 4 star QB can do to a team but also...Boyd is still in highschool, he hasn't committed to us and who knows how well he will transition to this level and pick up on Clawson's offense...

With all of that being said...I hope to God that we get him...it would be huge and I am confident that he would at some point(be it his freshman year or later) make a siginificant impact on our team

It is based on that fact that he has no idea what he is talking about. The fact that he can even remotely convince himself that he has the slightest idea who will be a better QB in college (Stephens or Boyd) should have been your first clue to just discredit everything he posts.

One question.

If these guys say they will come if Fulmer stays do you keep him?

Although it isn't an official visit, Patrick will be attending the Tennessee/Alabama game on Oct. 25. "I think it'll be a real good game," he said. "It's a rivalry game, so both teams will be hyped.

"I'm surprised that Tennessee hasn't done very well this season," Patrick admitted. "I thought they'd be a top team, but that's not really something I'm thinking about."[/QUOTE

Hmm..... Bama Spy maybe?

boyd and heastie are not a packaged deal.

the only thing keeping Boyd (and several other prospects) from commiting is that other teams are gettin in their ears and telling them our staff will be gone before the season. dirty recruting.

patrick isn't a bama lock. Auburn is a team to watch out for. I don't like our chances with him

Morgan was supposed to be in this week end but he has an injury that was first thought to be an acl tear but turned out to just an mcl sprain.
