Just checked..... They can practice with the team, but cant travel to the bowl game with the team. Not exactly sure why, but this is what a buddy of mine on volquest sent me.

doubtful any high school kids will be in Knoxville this month to practice. they have to be out of high school and enrolled in UT to do so... if they could get in, they could practice in Knoixville but not Atlanta. NCAA stopped the bowl practice about 5 years ago. Briscoe was last Vol to do it

I certainly do not want any of our recruits to follow in his footsteps....Bray can show up in January!

Larry, is there a practice limit on Bowl Games.

not sure what you mean by "practice limit"?

I think they are allowed 15 days of practice but when school is finished, they can practice each day as long as they want to..

Tyler will be there on the 17th to practice on the 18th. He already has his classes and is ready to go.

I know its only about 2 weeks of practice but this makes me excited as he**. Great to see a kid that is commited to the program as he seems to be. Go Vols!!!:dance2:

Trwalls, you made some good points about the game played the other night. Ty was under some pressure and forced a couple of throws. But the thing i was most impressed with was his uncanning knack to get out of pressure, he seemed to know where and when the pressure was coming from and got out of it. He forced a couple of balls because of it , but he will learn from that. His escapability is awesome for a guy his size. I would compare him to Big Ben at an early age.

Kingsburg plays Taft HS Dec 11th for the Div IV Valley Championship.

I am from Fresno and plan on going to watch the championship game and wear my Vol Hat and Sweat Shirt.

Any other Calfornia Vol fans going to the game? We can support Tyler and represent the Vol Nation.

Didn't know if they are under the same rules of practice (weekly time restrictions) for the Bowl games as they are during the regular season.

I live in Diamond Bar and there is another here in Corona (Inland Empire area). I'll see how many we can get to come and watch. Where and what time is the game?

:good!::rock::dance2:

Im sure Tyler would love to see the support from the Vol fans at his game.:dance2:

well i think part of his problem for last game was that the offensive coordinator was there to watch him, so he tried to impress him by throwing in tight spots to show how accurate he was then he learned very few, if any quarterbacks at any level can make those throws

I would love to but too far of a drive for me

From Luginbill's article:

Tyler Bray (Kingsburg, Calif.); committed to Tennessee: Bray reminds us of a right-handed Matt Leinart coming out of high school. This future Vol, however, possesses a deceptive athleticism the former USC standout lacked. Time in the weight room and the opportunity for him to grow into his tall, lanky frame provide for a high ceiling of development. He has the arm and size. Also, his overall accuracy and timing are very impressive. Tennessee may have lucked out in landing this talent at a need position.

Luginbill listed Bray as one of the 2010 QBs with the most upside:
