'10 CA S Dietrich Riley

According to his Facebook status we will be visiting him on Monday.

" Tennessee Volunteers will be making an in home visit on Monday. Go Vols!! "

That's his Facebook status, someone posted below it that he liked that Tennessee coaches were coming & Riley wrote back me to with a smiley face.

Awesome, if true. Like I said though, it won't be before Sunday or in this case Monday. :good!:

We will have our best recruiting moments (most this board won't ever know about) on these in home visits.

About 2 months ago I would have called Riley a Vol lock, now i think were in 3rd behind USC & UF.

I agree, its amazing how fast it all turned around like that. I still would rather have Ahmad, or Elam, but I would definently "settle" for Riley.

Because I think Dixon is a better play and will be a better player?

You need evidence to support your opinions. For example, size and speed are comparable between Riley and Dixon. However, Riley is more of a complete package. He's a running back, so contact isn't a problem -- in fact, he seeks it out. Secondly, Riley has excellent ball skills, as evidenced by the fact that he could play a multitude of positions on the field (i.e. tailback, receiver, return "specialist"). Add 4.4-4.5 speed with a 6'1" 200lb. + frame and you have one punishing athlete.

Keep in mind who this staff went after first -- very hard, too (Orgeron is his recruiter). They still continue to recruit him hard. Dixon didn't come into the picture until later in the game. That should tell you all you need to know.

I still like Dixon a lot and would be very happy if he became a Vol.

Lmao, you really said that you have to have evidence for your opinions? It's an opinion dude, not a scientific absolute. Someone could prefer Dixon for the simple reason that they don't like how Riley looks, or maybe they don't like the way that he seemed like a lock and then started flirting with Florida and USC. Provide evidence for your opinion... that's hilarious. Happy Thanksgiving everybody.:lolabove:

Lol - there are plenty of reasons for this - and not because they necessarily like Riley better.

And as for multiple positions - all that means is Riley is the best athlete on his team, congratulations. Dixon has as good or better ball skills. I would rank Dixon as a better athlete.

You can tell me your opinions all day - doesn't change the fact that I have my own opinions as well - and I'd say 65-70% people agree with me that Dixon is a better option - even if it is slightly. But some are scared by the fact that he's jumped around a lot on his commitments. Although - I don't like the fact that UF was able to come in and a few weeks later be in his top 2.

Wasn't it Riley that posted on his Facebook page after the Old Miss loss. I believe he said, " Vol Fans keep your heads up" or something to that effect. Anyway, DR is a classy young man.
GBO!

If the staff was that much higher on Dixon over Riley, wouldn't he have an in house visit first? No idea who the better guy is but the staff must really value this guy since we are visiting him first opportunity, right?

Well, my first response got deleted... I'd like an explanation for that. I'll just say this, "dude," that if you're gonna take a position you must defend it.

I mean, c'mon "dude"... like... totally...
