Has decied to hold off on his announcement which was set for 6/01/2009. Maybe Nuke has been in his ear?

Pahokee head coach Blaze Thompson says he’s now instructing his players including WRs De’Joshua Johnson and Chris Dunkley, CB Merrill Noel, and others to take their time in the recruiting process, and not rush into a decision that they’ll change later. No timetable has been set for a announcement.

FSU... Good Pull Noles. I guess they watched Alfonso Smith leave to Wake and proceed to kill them for 3 straight yrs and vowed not to lose another big time CB outta the Muck to them again lol

This is a big surprise, considering he is Nukes first cousin. You can not go by what these guys say. They only say what the media wants to hear, based on where they are.
UT's recruitment of Noel could be aided by former Pahokee receiver Nu'Keese Richardson, who is Noel's first cousin. Richardson is enrolled at UT after signing to be a Vol in February in a highly contested recruiting battle with Florida.

Noel said he'll consider Richardson's presence at UT when making his college decision.

"That would influence me a lot to come to Tennessee," Noel said. "We always talk. He lets me know what's going on and what to expect at Tennessee."

Must be good friends with that WR Johnson from Pahokee who just committed to Florida State, also.

I haven't heard much talk about the Pahokee guys lately. A lot of them seemed to like UT a lot, and having Nuke can't hurt. Call me crazy, but I think we still have a good chance with Noel despite his commitment to FSU. I could also see us getting Ford and Ash if we still want them.

Pahokee defensive back Merrill Noel grew up thinking Florida State was his dream school — that is, until he visited Wake Forest.

Two months after verbally committing to the Seminoles, he de-committed last week in favor of the Deacon Demons.

"Florida State is going through a lot of stuff right now," Noel said in explaining the switch. "And I think graduating from Wake Forest will really help me achieve more in life [after football]."

Interesting. I don't think his heart was ever in going to FSU. That move honestly surprised me.
