'10 FL DE Corey Lemonier

do we really have a shot at him and smith will they go to the same school

At one time it seemed like the Duo was a package deal.
Right now I say we would have a better shot at getting a Commit outta Smith than Lemonier, but they aren't EE and it will go to Signing Day

Just a possible scenario, but it is likely that UT was only going after Smith so hard in order to sway Lemonier from FSU. Lemonier cannot like the number of DE's we have coming in, though I'm sure the staff is quick to point out the number of those that are likely DTs at the next level.

At the end of the day, I think Lemonier is going to FSU. I really don't know what Smith will do or if he will be allowed to commit here.

So now that Calvin is a verbal how do you see things playing out in their situation?

He had been all Vol for a while. The only question was if we would take him...
I agree.

I stand by these comments from my blog:

The prospects of Lemonier and Smith playing together at the next level are no longer as definite as they appeared a week ago as both say that it would be nice, but it is not a guarantee. “We want to, but we’ll see,” Smith said to Rivals. I’m just trying to find the best opportunity for me.”

These guys are in constant contact with each other and such an admission says to me that they are leaning toward separate schools.

Does anyone else see this as a tug of war battle and whoever gets pulled in the mud pit first has to attend the school the other wants to go to? Last week Smith says that it is 95% that they will be at the same school. After spending time together and discussing things, now they are saying that there is a real possibility they could end up at different places.

My best guess right now is Lemonier to FSU and Smith to UT. Smith is sure where he wants to go though his ideals may not line up completely with Corey’s. He will have some time to work on Corey in order to convince him to see it his way. Plus the coaches will be in Lemonier’s home at some point this upcoming month and that will help for sure.

His decision on his commitment is going to be a while probably up until NSD. The amount pressure some of these kids are under going through the recruiting process must be insane.

It is weird, that when Eddie Gran was here, Corey Lemonier was leaning HEAVILY to the vols. Same with Jeff Luc. Now all of a sudden, it is FSU. Eddie did hurt us in the short term with recruiting. In the long run, we will be ok.
