I want to move to knoxville, i was there for 2 days and i loved it. Although the campus was ugly, well parts of it like some of the dorms were attrocious, or however you spell that.

Have you ever been there on a football saturday?

Heaven on Earth.:)

St.Louis is so boring. Its too cold to go outside and play basketball or football.

Screw you man. Try living in Detroit in the winter. Everyone is broke, there are probably parts of Kabul that are safer, and it is bitter cold. I need to get myself to the south man.

Ill give you cold, but St.louis is more dangerous than detroit is. Its a fact.

I will not give you that. I know East St. Louis is awful but Detroit is insane and only getting worse with the unemployment rate climbing in the area. I believe I saw a crime rate chart of the most dangerous cities, with Flint and Detroit at #1 and #2. It is amazing what happens to people when they have no money and no hope of ever obtaining money through honest work.

Ok but other dangerous areas in st.louis are... all of downtown is really bad, hazelwood and U City have there really bad areas, and there is some other areas like jennings. But most places in stlouis are bad. And east stlouis isnt that bad my family lives there i go there alot, so its not that bad, plus they had a rivals football camp there.

This is one of the downsides of UT. Like I said in another thread, the guys that designed the campus need to be dug up and punched in the face. It's very unfortunate, but UT's campus simply isn't aesthically pleasing. Like you said, the dorms are absolutely hideous -- and many of the academic buildings are "out of style."

UT's location gives it a lot of potential, but the campus was "duffed off" from day one.

:lolabove: Detroit just took major losses and tons of people just lost their jobs, it was the hardest hit city in the US if I remember correctly. I highly doubt St Louis is more dangerous at this moment.

St. Louis is a scary place.. Just all around sketchy.. But I've never been to detriot..

The worst part of St Louis is equivalent to the City Hall steps of Detroit!! Detroit is on par with Memphis as far as being a generally dangerous place to be. And that was before the recent job losses.

I think Memphis.. I think the First 48 now..

That place is a walking Law and Order episode..

A season of DEA on Spike channel was shot in Detroit. Has also been the murder capital in more than one year. They also have a huge gang problem there. Detroit and Memphis are class A ghetto! Let me see your St. Louis say that.

I have seen 8 Mile though... :) Mike Epps is horrifying..

I am in Memphis (Collierville) for the holidays and there is a lot of nice areas here as well. Now do I feel 100% safe walking around downtown? Ahhh noooo, but there are a few areas around town that are nice as well as the surrounding areas like burbs are really nice. They are even knocking down a lot of the project areas and building new sub-divisions. Memphis is trying to become a better place to live but it has a long way to go though.
