gonna be hard to keep a kid with those attributes off the field. this will be an interesting battle come fall..

Im just glad someone is finally doing something about our piss poor special teams. Every coach has said they would make ST a priority, and they never did. Now if we can just get a top notch returner (not saying he isnt on the roster already), and cut down on the long returns allowed, we are on our way.

From what I have read Darr will be hard to beat with getting the ball inside the 20 also good speed, real strong, great for fake punts. Played LB also

I don't know how Palardy is at getting the ball inside the 20 but he can really boom it. In high school, the opposing punt returners had a hard time judging the punt. Palardy was the starting quarterback for his freshman team at St. Aquinas, so he may be good for a fake punt or kick.

Seriously, Palardy's mind is probably on 200 other things than football right now. Every facebook status isnt UT related.

I wouldn't be surprised if his name is Ted Meline.

Palardy has 4.6 speed, can throw the ball on a rope, and can punt the lights out of the ball! Word is that he was kicking on the indoor practiced field today and hit everything up to 45 yards, missed one at 50, hit the the next one and one at 53 and was challenged to hit a 57 yarder by one of the d-backs. Hit it with 5-6 yards to spare in front of the whole team who apparently went nuts! He will out punt Darr. Darr is a muscle punter and Palardy is a power punter with excellent technique. All this per Conrad who spoke with him on the phone tonight. The kicker is...he did this with sore legs due to his 1st am workout! Can't wait!!!

When I find out his jersey number, I'm going to be very tempted to buy a Palardy UT jersey. I should probably not be as excited about a kicker as I am about him, but I definitely am in this case.

Explain.

Aside from not understanding the power vs. muscle punter statement, this sounds like great news! :hi:

Instead of technique being precise, relies on shear strength to power ball. Power is getting optimum use of leg strength with correct technique. Technique will always be more consistent. When coupled with strength of leg, you get better results. Palardy has strength and technique.
