Eddie Sullivan - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN

Sullivan is a scrappy, undersized signal-caller with great confidence and moxie. He does not have great height, but he possesses a live arm, a quick delivery and great feet. He is a good athlete and capable of improvising when he needs to. Shows a quick and consistent drop and set up. Gets rid of the football very quickly. Ball pops off his hand when his feet are set and he is confident in where he is going with the ball. Shows impressive RPM's and can make the necessary college level throws including those vertically and outside the numbers. Is capable of fitting the ball into tight spots in the short and intermediate range when on time. He has proven to be capable of getting set, planting and throwing timing routes with power and velocity. Can get hot and when in rhythm will make some plays both with his legs and arm and can be tough to stop. He displays good ball handling skills and has proven to be a dual-threat on nakeds and bootlegs. Has a knack for feeling the rush and knowing when to escape the pocket, get out and make plays on the perimeter. Throws very well on the run to both sides, squares his shoulders and shows good overall mechanics on the move. His release mechanics and ball carriage are sound and consistent and he can really rip it when he wants to or needs to fit the ball in. Because of Sullivan's confidence and swagger he can be risky with the ball too and will force some throws he shouldn't especially if he is late. His lack of height affects his vision if he does not get rid of the ball quickly. Works from the shotgun and from under center, but the shotgun does help his field vision. Must move around at times to find passing windows. Overall, Sullivan is a competitor and despite lacking great measurables he does possess excellent overall passing skills and as mentioned is athletic and versatile. He could play in a number of schemes because of his arm and release. Good prospect.

An Elite 11 QB. Apparently, we lead.

well he said that we apparently lead, so I would assume that an elite 11 QB that has us in the lead may just have an offer.

He could be our #2 qb for this class? Maybe?

He's 6'0 188. Pretty good size. Would take a quarterback who knows how to play and run an offense over one who has all the measurables but cant handle the pressure of gameday(Crompton).

He's listed as a 6'2 dual-threat at Rivals.com and 6'1 at Scout.

I watched one of his clips at Scout; he showed good touch and accuracy. He made some nice throws in tight windows.

I was told about the offer about 3 weeks ago, but didn't believe it, still don't. I thought the Southern Miss offer was about right for him, and if an SEC team comes offering he needs to jump on it.

Are we sure he's 6'0"? Do we know what he measured in at during the Miami Nike Camp? He wasn't 6'0" last fall, and didn't get to stand next to him at Nike Camp to see if he's grown any in height. He certainly has added mass and filled out a lot more.

He spins the ball pretty good, has ok mobility, and above average arm strength. I'm just not sold on him being SEC caliber.

How is he an Elite 11 candidate?

He went to the camp Elite 11 had in Orlando. They have one in Athens, GA and Las Vegas coming up as well. Plus others across the US. After all those camps they will select who is invited to the end of the summer "Elite 11" in California.

Plus that camp lost the prestige with me when they invited John Wienke from Tuscola, IL a couple years ago. They do a great job of getting elite QB's out there, but certainly isn't fool proof.

Thanks for the info. So he may not be the real deal.

"Tennessee and Kansas State are the latest to offer Sullivan, who will be a senior this fall. Lane Kiffin and his staff certainly are setting up camp in Palm Beach County.

Sullivan (6-1 1/2, 195) has drawn interest from several other schools as well, including Auburn, North Carolina State, Georgia and West Virginia. It will be interesting to see if Bulldogs coach Mark Richt, a former Boca Raton quarterback himself, will pull the trigger on Sullivan."
