Ed Sullivan – Quarterback
The biggest knock on Sullivan is the fact he is 6 foot. He has a strong arm, with a quick release, and good mobility. Sullivan throws well on the run as he hit a couple deep balls after scrambling out of the pocket.
Another QB to keep an eye on is Eddie Sullivan. The 6'1, 185 pound gunslinger plays with confidence and has a live arm. Very accurate. Sullivan has good mobility in the pocket and is capable of picking up yards on the ground.
QUARTERBACKS
It was the first look for many in Florida at St. Thomas transfer Turner Baty. The rising junior who played in California last year looked the part, while showing good arm strength in passing drills. Eddie Sullivan from Boca Raton came to compete and displayed great accuracy. Sullivan threw for over 2,000 yards with 30 touchdowns as a junior.
Poor footwork. Pushes the ball. Doesn't have an SEC arm. Throws lots of ducks. Accuracy suspect.I just watched this youtube video of Sullivan. His fundamentals seem to be good, and he takes quite a few snaps under center as well as shotgun. He throws off his back foot occasionally, but still makes accurate throws. He looks really accurate and throws well on the run, and seems to have pretty good footwork. The only thing I am not sure about is his arm strength. I don't think he has a weak arm, but I wouldn't call it really strong either. Even though he is listed as a dual threat QB, I can see this kid fitting in okay in a pro style system.
Maybe Sab or someone with better QB evaluation skills than myself can give a better assessment.
