'10 FL WR Chris Dunkley

Right....maybe I should have phrased it differently...I find it odd that he declined to talk to the media....seeing as you don't have an option to not talk to the ncaa if they come knocking on your door.

He is from pahokee, he probably just knows the legal system a little bit better than most kids his age.

Anyone think that with him not saying anything he might be trying to help us out? I know he may not be but you never know

what is your take? you think the Tuohy's were just a generous family helping out a kid or you think the NCAA may have been justified in their concerns?

who cares.

Dunkley may not have talked to the NCAA because he may have LIED and didn't want to show the media what he said.

Or maybe he is just helping us out.

Us saying things about Dunkley, without proof, is as bad as the NYT claiming all the BS on the hostesses. I dont mind taking jabs at Meyer, but lets leave Dunkley out of it for now.

I agree with you...

but....

what if it's true? Dunkley might want to stay in Gainesville next year when Florida comes to K-town. Again, if that WERE true.

I almost guarantee there's been some recruit who has come here and gone back to whomever they are committed to and snitched about a hostess. There's no way the NCAA would investigate based on message boards and blogs. That's where the NYT got alot of their "information" that is being reported. That would be outrageous.

I'm not really worried about all this at all. How can the NCAA look at us with a straight face and punish us for wrongful hostessing (hahaha) and tell USC and Reggie Bush they're clean? That just wouldn't make any sense at all. Plus, they're already harassing our recruits with this garbage.

They would lower the national unemployment rate to 5%, if they did that.

When did it become official with Billy?
"Official" last night, but this could have been coming on for a while now? Supposedly we already hired another WR coach from Central Michigan - Zach Azzanni. Supposedly an "up and comer" in the coaching rankings. Not sure how this will splash at the moment. He will be in for the official visitors this weekend - including Dunkley.

Ok. Did he make a lateral move or will his responsibilities be different?

I do know more $ was put on the table. WR coach at UF and will be "passing game coordinator" at LSU or something along those lines. I do know LSU just hired at WR Coach from the Bills. Guess LSU had to justify the pay increase. I'm not sure the amount of the $ that was increased, probly 75 to 100K more?

Geez, not a bad raise if that's the case. Well, thanks for the info. Didn't mean to interrogate, I'm just interested in the coaching changes around the league.

tennessee already lost a handful of recruits, possibly due to the hostessing allegations being investigated by the ncaa. And now it may have cost them electrifying receiver chris dunkley, who was contacted by the new york times the night before the paper broke the hostessing story.

Dunkley quietly dropped tennessee as a possible destination, as he told espn affiliate gator country that he's deciding between georgia, florida, alabama and west virginia.

The vols may also lose no. 9 defensive tackle prospect brandon willis, who committed to tennessee but is now looking at miami. Willis was one of two recruits shown in a photograph with ut's orange pride hostesses after his high school game.

Though vols coach lane kiffin has said he sees the investigation as a compliment, because the ncaa wants to see how the vols are recruiting so well, it looks like it may be costing them some top recruits.

so sick of the negative tone in all these publications/articles concerning tennessee lately. seriously its ridiculous.

Whoever started this crap with the investigation, is sitting somewhere laughing.. Because they wanted to screw Tennessee and it looks like they are..

The same media that Kiffin used to his advantage earlier is killing him now. Every kid that drops UT or de-commits is being used to paint the picture that recruits are leaving due to the NCAA issues which is absolutely not true.
