Well, absolute certainty about the truth will probably elude us. Nuke's new activity with his recruitment coincided eerily with the committment of Debose. He was an early and happy committment and was actually one of those kids who tried to recruit other kids to the program. Not the picture of a kid who didn't feel at home.

It's hard to take Nuke's statements as being definitive. If he left because he didn't think there was a good chance of earning playing time, would you expect him to come out and say that? Of course not...no one is going to say that they don't think they can compete.

Go back to the earlier example with Jevan Snead and Tebow. Do you think that Snead decomitted because he suddenly felt that Texas was the place he felt more at home?

He just wanted to play. That's what they all want.
I think Snead de-committed because he realized he was lied to. He wasn't going to see any more playing time at Texas than he was Florida.

I agree that Meyer's handling of that is a black mark.

But in substance, it came down to playing time. He left Texas too, ostensibly for the opportunity to play. Any other reason he might have left Texas?

btw - we've really crawled down a worm hole here in the Kadron Boone thread, haven't we? There's a lot of emotion invested in this whole Nuke recruitment situation.

Maybe so. I will never like Urban and you will never like Lane. Beauty of rivalries. Thanks for conducting yourself with some amount of class though. That's rare for UF fans on our board.

Agreed, knowledgable and civil rivals are always welcome.

Boone expected to sign with LSU despite his Texas Tech commitment. Georgia was hard on Boone and needed him to lessen the sting of losing Da'Rick Rogers.
