after reading Mincy's report at Scout.com, you have to put Tennessee in the lead even though he said TN's up there with Auburn and Georgia. He praised the staff, the fans and the entire experience. It was a very good report card for Tennessee.
Scout.com: Mincy loves trip to Tennessee
No there wasn't his dad went to UT and EB knew exactly were he was going the whole time. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. No clue.
Did I say he was seriously considering UGA? I said there was pressure whether it effected him or not (which it didn't). There was pressure on MB to go to UT and he was only a 4 star. I know MB's dad wasn't a UGA alum but it is the same concept of home state pressure.
No, it's not. Everybody knew where EB was going, including him. Nobody knew where MB was going, not even MB himself. You are wrong. You don't know what you're talking about, please quit acting like you do.
I have seen the errors of my ways and arguing about this is pointless. If you are an elite prospect and live in a state that has a big time program no matter how 'sure' you know where you are going there is going to be pressure at school, from teammates, etc; That is all.
"I'd been hearing from a lot of the Auburn coaches so I was kind of expecting it but I was really happy that they finalized the offer," Mincy said.
"I also got an offer from Michigan," he said. "They offered me and another defensive end (T.J. Stripling) on my team. I was real happy about that also."
"Georgia has always been my childhood team growing up," Mincy said. "I'll always be interested in them."
On Tennessee:
"Of all the campuses I've been to and the spring games and practices, they have the biggest fan base I've seen so far," Mincy said.
"Earlier I know I told some people that I was going to make my decision in the early spring or early summer but now I want to wait until I take all my official visits to really see all the other schools," Mincy said.
"There are a lot of schools starting to recruit me, like I just started hearing from Oklahoma a couple of days ago. And a lot of other schools are just now getting my highlight tape."
"Georgia and Miami have always been my childhood favorites," said Mincy. "I went to their (Georgia's) Junior Day and really enjoyed myself. I learned a lot about the program. I know they've got a history of great cornerbacks and I'm honored to have them look at me."
He plans to making as many visits as he can, checking out a number of schools, a list that includes Tennessee, Maryland and South Carolina.
