CaliLVFan, has your daughter already committed to UT, or is she still looking?

Remember, we were a couple of outs from the NC in softball a few short years ago!

Melissa is All Vol...

My daughter verbally committed last year to the Lady Vols after her unofficial visit... we saw the Vols play Florida last year.

This past weekend, we were on her official visit and she will sign her NLI next month. She was recruited by all the top programs but there is no where like UT!!!

She plays travel ball with the Orange County Batbusters....

Picture of the family this past weekend at UT... we even brought Melissa's Grandparents and her brother to Knoxville with us so they could take in everything UT!

Go Vols!

I think he's torn now. After seeing what we did to Georgia may make him rethink his current position, which before the game was pro-UGA. Although, the pity factor could work in their favor as well. Only time will tell.

We led for his services before the GA game. His commitment is a mere formality at this point.

I would be stunned if he doesn't end up a Vol.

According to everything reported, we did not lead nor did anyone that I knew and talked with thought we did. We probably made up some ground, but it's still going to be a tough pull.

man going from what i heard from his parents at calhoun's this kid is a vol

they were talking about how much fun they had..how they loved knoxville....extremely nice parents....i say the kid is a vol commitment very soon

Melissa is a power hitter with speed, an all state shortstop in HS but plays first base with the OC Batbusters and will play first base with the Lady Vols. She has been recruited to replace All American Tiffany Huff (Huge Shoes to fill) after Tiffany graduates next year.

Madison Shipman, So Cal Choppers, is a 2010 recruit that was on her oficial last week (Auburn game) is one of the Top Shortstops in the country will be the Lady Vol Shortstop.... Ashley Andrews, current Lady Vol Shortstop, will move to catcher next year after Tiffany graduates and Madison and Melissa arrive on campus.... according to what we have been told.

Congrats to your daughter on becoming a Lady Vol! Tell her to enjoy every moment of the college experience. Great program and coaches. And I know you full understand how hard these softball girls all over the country work these days year around. Takes a ton of time and commitment by the players and parents. Go Vols!

Might have already been said, but Jawaun James says that Kiffin and Orgeron are going to be coming to his game this Friday....he sounds pumped about it....

I hope this is the case but a lot of recruits say they really enjoyed their visits and the game expirence at Neyland but they still went to another school.
