I think the expert is an expert he just seems to be one just by the way he talks about the recruits keep posting expert.

When it comes to recruiting, nothing hurts recruiting more than a
loss to UT. Lane Kiffen called North Gwinnett HS today and reserved a parking spot. He is flying down to NGHS in the UT helicopter on Friday morning. He is going to be landing the helicopter on the practice field.

This came from UGA's Rivals' site... This is awesome. Kiffin is coming in tomorrow on a chopper to North Gwinnett, home of JaWuan James...

I seen on rivals where he called ahead and reserved a spot on the practice field....

I think this is a little play off of the Auburn Limo deal.... But alot better!!!!

You gotta love this guy if you are a UT fan....

Regardless of knowing the time, as a dedicated Vol, you better be out there from sunup to sundown to get that shot for the Volnation.

Or at the very least make a video with a hockey mask and post it on youtube.

Either way, you are not a fan if you don't do one or the other. Of course, attending games in Neyland automatically qualifies you as a true fan.

Clearly anyone who comes to a message board with a screen name like that is doing so in order to create exactly the type of atmosphere he has here. "Is he?! Isn't he?!" This is prototypical 7th grade, attention-seeking behavior.

Come on, fellas... you're more discerning than this, right? How is this any different than feeding the Gator trolls at GVX? No more food, no more trolls.

From what I've seen The Expert seems to post some pretty good information, so I have no problem with his sn. Whether he's really an expert, I don't know, but I'll give him the benefit of a doubt, and all the posts of his I've read seem rather level-headed and informative. So, let's not burn him at the stake for heresy just yet, fellas.

I understand what you're saying but you totally missed the inside meaning of my statement...

The guy I quoted (kiffincrazy28) was caught telling about 3-4 differant lies about who he is and what his credentials are...

He was a D-1 basketball player who was also a reporter that wrote about recruiting and he also was a close personnal friend of Brandon Warren...

Turns out none of this was true...kiffincrazy28 is actually a 16 year-old kid with too much time on his hands....

And no, I'm not making any of this up

To his credit he stuck it out, apologized and has attempted to move forward. I will give him props for that. Most would have run and rejoined using a different screen name. Our current vice president being one such example.

You're right. I knew the history and got the joke (which was funny, by the way)... I just made the mistake of hitting "Reply" to your post rather than responding to one of the earlier posts debating his (Expert's) validity.

I should have clarified that my post was not directed at you.

JoeKyle - I see your point. No burning at the stake here. I was simply making the point that, especially given (a) the extremely volatile nature of information in this field (kids making "commitments" that many change more often than their underwear), and (b) the somewhat secretive nature of information in this field, a true expert (in so much as anyone can truly be considered an expert in anything) would have no need to proclaim his arrival in such an ostentatious way as this guy has; Phil Helmuth not withstanding. . .

I'm all for letting him make real predictions and display for us his expertise (not regurgitated information from other boards, articles, etc...). But with a name like that, he has an awful lot to prove, in my opinion.

kiffincrazy28 actually tried that and got caught...then came clean...

It's all good though...he seems like a good enough kid...it's just a funny situation all around...

We all do stupid things...but if you do stupid things and get caught you're just going to have to deal with the teasing...no matter how much you man up to it
