i have not saw any tape on nance but if he has a high iq and a rocket arm why is he only 2 star ,i hope he turns out to be a good player i would redshirt him .and if da,rick rodgers comes to that would be great.but 3 qb in class taken away spots for o linemen to protect them.
lol wut? I've heard 16 year olds say a lot of things, using the word 'baby' was never the one that surprised me
Did you watch that game? We went into the patented Fulmer-Chavis shell After stomping a mudhole in them in the first half. The LSU QB was the backup Matt Mauck. Who came in after we knoked Rohan Davey from the Game. That game was taken out of Casey hands at halftime. Blame it on our Unagressive Former coaching staff. The next game was against Mich and Causen and Witten went off. I think we put 44 on them IIRC.I remember Clausen as the beginning of the end. It is hard to have a feeling about him that doesn't have other things mixed in. Didn't we also lose to a not so good LSU team that year in the champ game that kept us out of the BSC championship game? Didn't the other qb end up getting the MVP for that game? That was the biggest game of Surfer boys career and we did lose. I see both sides, but you can blame either side for their opinion. He won some big games but also lost the biggest game for UT since the BCS championship game.
LOL agreed...They also said quite a bit but it was like dude, cuz, bro, chick, peezo but dont think they said a phrase like" howz it goin baby" LMAO...
This guy says he is 16 and for him to use baby is a little strange IMO. Just coming from a dad with a 20,18 and 16 year old, but what the hell do I know...lol:

I've seen a lot of people on here saying that this is only a good commit if Da'rick Rogers comes with Nance. Now don't get me wrong. I would love to have both sign with the Vols. As someone close to the program, I have to defend this kid. Nash is a very smart, level-headed young man with the right priorities. He is the kind of kid that will absolutely soak up the coaching he will get at UT. He is also the kind of great infuence you want in the locker room. He may not come in with the hype of some other QB signees, but he does have the tools to progress into a successful SEC qb. There is something to be said for having a good attitude and brain for the position. Many would argue that that is one of the most important attributes a QB must have to be successful. Not to mention he has the physical tools and will only get stronger in our program.
I'll leave you with a list of QBs who have been successful due primarily to good minds/attitudes:
*before you guys shred me, claiming that I compared Nance to Peyton Manning, these are simply some guys that have been successful due in part to mental prowess.
- Peyton Manning (no explanation needed)
- Kurt Warner (lacks an awesome arm, but great smarts)
- Rich Gannon (threw for nearly 5,000 yards two times
due to mental prowess-not a cannon arm)
- Shaun King (near tops in the nation at Tulane)
- Major Applewhite (most underrated qb in his day)
- many more...
just my opinion. take it or leave it
Great post Coach...I'd add that Chaney liked Nance when Kiffin was here. I guess there was a difference of opinion there. I may be the only one, but I don't think this was a package deal. I think Chaney has liked him all along. Most schools try to sign a QB every year. Some won't agree but we didn't/don't have a lot of depth. Lamaison may be gone and Stephens will be gone...the flier, to me, seems to be Sims.
