Good luck in whatever he does. I really wanted this kid and IMO thought he was better than Neal simply because he looks like he's faster (on film) and he has great hands that could've been deadly and was hoping to get him. Not dogging Neal b/c I think he'll be a great back as well but I just saw something diff with Bennett.
Hilarious! I just told a KY fan at work today that he should be happy UT got Neal and left KY competing with just Vandy. Lol at Vandy beating out KY for one of their top targets. Posted via VolNation Mobile
Good pickup. It did seem a bit odd that CDD made Bennett a top priority to visit but took Neal's commitment at RB first. It seems likely then Dooley was after him from the beginning as a LB.
It's been a long day...There is no link provided in this thread that says he committed to Vandy and other than message boards I haven't found one. I went to Rivals, maybe I'm not ... Anyone have one so we can put this to bed?
Since rex posted the info, I'm guessing it came from TOS. I've been watching Rivals and the Scout ticker and it hasn't shown up there. Maybe it was a premature call? Wouldn't hurt my feelings.
It is a pic of Ray Cannon, he played for General Neyland. His son, Bobby Cannon, went on to play at Bama and the recruiting battle with Bear Bryant is still an interesting story. Enjoy!
I am familiar with the Bobby Cannon name, but didn't know his father played for the General. Cool! I love vintage football pics...he looks like a real sparkplug type player in your avatar.
Windy City Vol in the weekend sticky seemed persistent and I thought maybe ... turns out the inside tennessee (scout) link is really no link at all, but I'm not computer guru guy so...
