Fulton has a brother that just graduated from Illinois, now Bucs player Xavier Fulton. Most tend to think up on there site he is an Illini lock, and they have good reason to believe so because his brother was a 2 year starter for the Illini. Could end up in the SEC, most likely at UT.. but this kid is gunna be tough to pry from the Illini.. They are definately the team to beat. He will be at their Nike camp next weekend and that is not good news.

I don't think they are the team to beat necessarily. X is no longer there. Zook can recruit though so we'll see.

"It's very exciting. That was the main reason I came to camp," said Fulton, whose older brother, Xavier Fulton, is a rookie offensive lineman drafted in April in the fifth round by the Tampa Bay Bucs. "That was my ultimate goal for (Monday) and I achieved that so I was excited. Tennessee is in my top five for sure."

How much e-cred do I get? I'm desperate.

Its always tough to get a kid away from a school his brother just had a really good experience with. Obviously the family was happy with it and their ties are strong with the Illini, but this kid seems to really be after big schools. I think he is trying to outdue his brother. The Notre Dame offer most likely wont come, but Ill say its Illinois number 1 and UT close behind after what looks like a really good weekend. Its not good that hes going to be there next weekend though, Illinois tends to get a few commits after that camp, especially with instate guys like Fulton.

Mother coming down end of month sounds like him and Dad are ready. Mom just needs to be comfortable.

New article on FUlton. Kids close to a Wisconsin offer, a school in which he likes. ND will have him camp and he really like ND, so I dont see him committing without going to ND and camping and seeing if they offer. From what i can gather its UT, Illinois, ND, Wisconsin, for him with UT and Illinois on top. Plus committing soon is probably not going to happen, take a look at his latest article.. says he will commit sometime near NSD.

“Zach will visit Tennessee again the 27th,” said Glen Fulton, Zach's dad. “His mom wants to see the campus, so we're going to do the campus tour. Hopefully, she's comfortable with everything down there because we're very excited with Tennessee.”

Asked about his timetable for committing, he replied: “I'm not sure ... but soon.”

"Coach Kiffin was telling how they could really use me, how he really liked my footwork and my performance in the drills. Then he said, 'Because of that, we're going to offer you a full ride.'” Now, pending his mother's approval, Zach Fulton may be on the verge of accepting that offer.

Per Scout... Guys, right here is our next commit on the OL...

Yea, but you can't really tell Purdue "yea I'm going back down to Tennessee on the 27th and if my mom likes it, I'm gonna be a Vol." He seems unsure of everything in the Rivals article like he "might" camp there but it might be a time conflict. This kid's all Vol...

Very strange that Rivals and Scout have conflicting stories. I realize that was to a Purdue reporter, but that whole interview seems to directly conflict with what we are hearing from Scout. If Scout gets this right, I'll be impressed if not amazed.

Randy Moore was the writer for the Scout story. He posted it at 10:40 and said he had just talked with Fulton just a little earlier. In the Purdue story it doesn't seem like he even had plans to come back to UT at all. It sounds as if they have talked to the Vol coaches (after talking with the Purdue guy) and made plans to come back to Rocky Top on the 27th. Moore also said in the thread that the way Fulton and his dad were talking, he looked for Zach to leave Knoxville a Vol...

This kid blew it up during camp. Need to get the O line commits rolling. He would be a great one to get it all going. Watched some of his films and he is a behemoth

I wonder if Mr. Fulton was one of the parents that were interviewed regarding how awesome the camp was?

I look forward to hearing more stories like this in the future regarding recruits and their recruitment. Awesome news!

I'm pretty sure they spoke with Blake Sims parents. Cool moment, an observer saw them speaking with Bryce Brown for a moment. To be a mosquito on the arm...

MVP awards are becoming the norm for Homewood-Flossmoor offensive lineman Zach Fulton. After earning the honor at the University of Tennessee's prospect camp last week, Fulton won top honors at the University of Illinois. Coincidentally, those two programs are fighting for his commitment. Fulton said he would like to make his choice by the end of the month.

"Illinois and Tennessee, that is about it," Fulton said when asked which schools are in the hunt for his commitment. "Illinois because I have been here a long time. I am real cool with every body. They are a part of my family. When I went to Tennessee, I felt that's the best place to get better. I would get to play for Monte Kiffin. He is one of the best minds on the defensive side of the ball."

Per Rivals... This pretty much confirms Fulton is all Vol. He wants to commit by the end of this month and just happens to be visiting UT againt on June 27th. It's all but a done deal. It appears that this staff has found a real hidden gem as well. He "dominated" the Nike Camp, was "head and shoulders above the other offensive lineman", and won the OL MVP honor in a "land-slide."
