Man that would be nice but from the comments that I have read Hurst stated that he wants to commit in August and enroll in January. Hopefully Kiffin can change that.

I'm pretty sure Kiffin made the we are close real close comments in a tounge in cheek type manner. Hurst will commit somewhere this summer and Kiffin obviously feels good about where we stand but I wouldn't bank on closing him this wknd. Kiffin is a confident person so obviously he will say he may close him this wknd because is he is very confident that his product is better than the rest of the nation.

If i were a QB and heard that Dan Patrick pitch i would sign right there. Kiff is good!

I saw that as well, but Kiffin and co. are on this kid like white on rice to get him to commit early. The thinking is obviously that having a stud tackle commit already in hand is that much more desirable a situation for an (or two) elite quarterback. Kiffin has been setting everything in place from the second he got here to land "his guy" at the position and so far, the plan has gone pretty much the way he expected with the exception of missing on Marlon Brown.

Like I said, that would be nice. I wouldn't be surprised with anything that happens this year with recruiting especially with the class that Kiffin and CO. put together in such a short time. I think this years recruits have taken notice as well.

you guys need to slow down; he hasn't even taken his trips to UGA/UF yet...

If you're expecting to come out of this weekend with a commit you are going to be disappointed. Lets just hope that he enjoys the trip and keeps us up near the top of his list. He has said he wants to decide before his senior year starts, so he will be taking these trips seriously.

Dan patrick asked him why he was late for the interview and kiff said he was sorry and that he had been on the phone with a recruit. Then Patrick asked him if he was close to landing him and he just said he felt confident about him...thats all. I feel like he is strongly considering UT but after listening to the convo I dont feel like we will get a commit from him this soon. Hope Im wrong.
