I am the publisher on the LA Tech site and I spoke with Dave Clark from Independence Community College in Kansas today and said he is visiting Tennessee this weekend. He said he would like to sign with Tennessee but they have not offered yet. His top three are LA Tech, Colorado and Tennessee. I am not too naive to know that if Tennessee offers this kid is going to be a Volunteer. He originally tried to sign with Kansas on Junior College Signing Day but he did not meet the deadline. He has three years of eligibility remaining. He redshirted this season.

Tore his ACL at the start of the season is the reason for the redshirt. Was a 2* coming out of high school.

This was going to be the season Dave Clark proved he was one of the nation's best cornerbacks. Those plans came crashing down when Clark tore his ACL leading into the season, but he's not let that stop him from being a star for the Independence C.C. program.

Rex, I posted this on the 1/29/10 visits thread. I had never heard of this kid until I saw what the publisher for the La Tech site posted on the TOS had you? This kid looks solid, but his offers are not impressive. I think it is the fact he is JUCO. What do you think?

Might very well be both. Also the ACL stuff could be scaring teams off.

This is a great development. We need some help at corner. This guy sounds like he could be a contributor for sure.

some guys from Kansas on another board are raving about the kid's ability, not so much on the mental
