Menzie had a tremendous freshman season for Co-Lin making 28 tackles (15 solo, 13 assists), one tackle for loss, five interceptions, breaking up nine passes and also causing a fumble.

Menzie came to the Magnolia State after failing to qualify academically out of high school. He had a stellar career at Carver High School leading his team to the Class AAA State Championship and earning first-team All-State honors by The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

"I want to get it out of the way early because I am going to graduate in December," said Menzie. "I will have three years to play two. I just want to make a good decision to make the most out of my college career. You only get one shot at everything."

Per Rivals... I am not sure how hard we are recruiting him or if he holds a UT offer, but I know we are definitely recruiting him...

He is a 4star on Rivals and holds offers from Alabama, Southern Miss, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, and Mississippi St...

"I loved it up there," Menzie said on the heels of his official visit. "I couldn't even pick out my favorite thing. It was all great. The whole weekend was a lot of fun. The program is great, the coaches are great. It was just all good. Everything about it."

"That was probably my last visit. I feel like I'm probably going to commit soon. I almost did it a few times before I left, but I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice so I'm going to let everything cool off for a few days, but right now, I'm pretty sure it's going to be Tennessee for me," Menzie said.

Vader numbers question, are we done at secondary except for taking wright?

Is T Mitchell off the board?

C Jones?

Jeff Luc?

JaWuan James?

Chaz Green?

We are getting close to full here and Dyer and Mosley would almost end the class.

This is when I think we would start to see some decommits...

Nah, I think we take at least 1 more DB. Mitchell is definitely still on the board. I like our chances all of the other guys you named outside of Dyer, but we may pull off a shocker there. I wouldn't worry about numbers. Let's just keep getting these studs. The coaches will make the numbers work...

Sounds like we'll find out how high up on our board he is in the next couple of days. If he's close to the top then it sounds like you can expect a commitment. If we don't hear anything then it probably means we have other prospects we'd rather get and are slow playing him.
