That dump Iowa St. was a stepping stone. I would do the same. Then his dream job came calling and it didnt take long. I hope you can see whose got the better job Chiz or Lane.

Codey Parkey did no worse than any other player in that game. The entire game was a joke. They all looked AUful. When he gets to AU, he will be just as good as Wes Byrum. Hes not the number one high school kicker for no reason.

:eek:lol: If you think he is in Palardy's league, you have been riding around with out basketball players.

Oh you talkling about why Kiffin didnt do worth a dam at Oakland?

:banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2: :banghead2::banghead2::banghead2::banghead2:

Kiffin had one year at the most dysfunctional franchise in the entire NFL. the Owner Al Davis put his own D-coordinator in place who reprted to Davis, not Kiffin really. Davis also allows player to report to him and go over the head of his coaches (not just Kiffin) Davis and his staff run the draft without listening to any meaningful input from coaches. Kiffin did not want to spend a #1 draft pick on Jamarcus Russell (LSU), Davis did. Kiffin and now Cable (new Raiders coach) were told to start him. Both wound up benching him. Now most in the Raiders organization think he was a mistake to take.

Kiffin took the NFL for one reason, like Chizik at ISU, as a stepping stone. He hoped that the NFL experience there would land him a HC gig at a top University at best, at worst a coordinator job in the NFL on a good team where he could build his NFL resume even more and get a shot as a HC in the NFL down the line. What is overlooked sometimes is that we turned Oakland from a bottom of the league offense to a middle of the pack (18th) offense in one season. Oakland in the NFL is a bigger hell hole than ISU in the NCAA

Since someone locked the recruit thread, thought I'd post this here.

"He's got a big-time arm," Malzahn said. "He creates a lot of things on his own. He's a very good runner. He's a big, physical guy and has good pocket awareness."

It wasn't just Newton's physical abilities that impressed Malzahn, who visited the College Park, Ga., native at Blinn and spent the weekend with him and his family in Auburn during an official visit.

"He's a great kid, great personality, just like all of our kids," Malzahn said. "Coach Chizik is going to recruit nothing but high character and hold them to high expectations."

That's just a lie....these kids can play ball and that's why universities go after them. Not because of character.

It is what it is. The NFL doesn't draft angels, either.

Roger Goodell has absolutely dropped the hammer on character/behavior issues.

That may not have been a problem 5 years ago... but teams will not draft a Pacman Jones in the 1st Round again. Character issues have played an absolute role in teams drafting strategies in the last 2-3 years since Goodell took office... and player approval of the Commish has never been higher (66% gave an A or a B in an SI poll less than a month ago... only 8% gave a D or an F).

No? Not quite sure what you're saying, but I'm thinking that's the likely answer.

I thought that he had already signed his LOI as a JUCO guy, so I assumed that is why the thread was locked...if I am wrong about that, then disregard....in that case he could still be 'recruited.'
