'10 LA WR Trovon Reed

he acted immature when we didn't give him the oc position
So instead of staying put, he moved up to Oklahoma State to be offensive coordinator. He was just playing the game. Anybody in his position would've been mad they didn't get the offensive coordinator job at UT, especially considering what he did the previous four years. That's not really whining. It's more like moving up the coaching ranks in order to further your career. Nothing wrong with that

The kids seemed to like Troop, he did a good job coaching up his positions, and was a good recruiter. Think CPF knew that he had to get somebody that was proven and wow did that work out well for him. I hope he does well for you Auburn and I hope we kick their tale on an annual basis. Hopefully he is given a chance at OC before long. Question is how long will he be there or will he be OC at Auburn.

wow my post gets erased cause I stated an opinion that our coaches and Mitch browning are greater than trooper.......

He was co-OC at OKSt. Now he's in the same position at Auburn he once held at UT.

You left out the part where he had a bunch of offensive players campaign for him.

Was the bet an avatar or sig? They are completely different. People can turn sigs off but not avatars.

OK, he was CO-offensive coordinator. It's still a step up from being a position coach. I've yet to see a reason why everybody doesn't like him, except for his antics. BTW, CEO has a lot of antics too!

I don't know who has said they don't like him. I know there are several on here that don't such as HatVol, but the majority of us think he is a very good recruiter and an above-average position coach. I don't think anyone in his right mind would trade him for Eddie Gran though, and you Auburn fans would have said the same a year ago.

Sorry guys but I am glad Eddie Gran and that entire coaching staff is gone. All they did was sat on their arses the last few yrs. Thats why our recruiting and depth is the way it is. They were lazy as hell. Troop is cool as hell by the way. Chiz will get our team back where it needs to be. Rebuilding takes time, at least 3 yrs. I luv our entire coaching staff except that bouldware and Ted Roof. Chiz will be at Auburn for a long time if he makes adjustments in the coaching staff as needed. Plus he luvs Auburn. Glad we got him back. Some coaches are at universities just for a paycheck. If Tubs and that mess were still at Auburn we may be looking at a 4 and 8 instead of 7 and 5 season. Go Tigers

Were glad you gave Eddie Gran to us cause he doesn't sit on anything over here but not to argue but Kiffin will be a better coach than Chizik before its all over and done.....

Trooper is a good recruiter..but he sales kids on coming and playing for him then he bails on to the next school. Although Gran did interview for the Memphis job(who wouldnt if you were him, it = an even bigger raise) he stayed at Aubarn for a while. I would much rather have Gran..look what he has done with our backs plus he's been huge for us in recruiting South Florida so far.

haha you would love to have the so.fla. recruits that gran is getting us and will get us in the future.... You don't have a recruiter on your staff that can shine his shoes when it comes to recruiting...

Trooper is a good position coach and a good recruiter, if a little shady. He can get anyone, and I mean anyone, into school.

But Gran>>>Trooper.

I'd probably take him over Wilson though.

Dude, we aren't jealous of anything. On Signing Day, no one will be talking about how we missed out on Dyer. I promise you.

We are happy that you are happy with Trooper. And I for one am glad you guys are keeping recruits from going to Bama.

I don't know if you noticed, but we don't have any reason to be jealous of Auburn right now. Eddie Gran > Trooper in every respect and we are filling our board with guys we want fairly regularly.

I have been reading through the recruiting forum as I always do, and I have noticed you alluding to a surprise at running back several times.

In this thread you "promise" we won't be upset about losing Dyer, and in another thread, you exclaimed that Lattimore wasn't at all afraid of Bryce Brown, and to trust you.

Is there something going on? Do you have any reason to believe that Lattimore might join his teammates on The Hill?

Yes, CEO is eccentric. The difference is, he has a freaking book written about him. And his history of stockpiling talent and coaching for championship teams cannot be ignored.

He's got 3 NC rings if you ask an LSU fan, 4 if you ask a USC fan.
