Florida has to be doing something illegal. I just don't get it.
I wasn't joking in my post though. That's exactly what Meyer does...
Interesting, how many UF coach/prospect meetings have you sat in on? How many times have you been sitting in a prospect's family's living room when Meyer was there?
We all know mommas in the South want to know that their boys are going to be molded by a good Christian father-figure. It's been that way down here since the beginning of the game; and all coaches, yours included, make certain they reassure parents that they will be good role models for their boys while they turn into men.
That was missing with Kiffin; but Dooley knows what it is to coach and recruit in the South.

I wouldn't try to worry gator boy too much, that goes on at a lot of places.
Title IX has nothing to do with whether hostesses have sex with visiting recruits.
Nothing illegal, just momentum. It's like a snowball rolling downhill. Get a couple of huge commitments at the same time (UA and AA games), and suddenly everybody wants to be a part of what could be a historic class... maybe greatest ever.
It doesn't hurt that our seniors, who were part of the '06 class, turned out to be the most successful class in the history of the SEC (48-7). All of our recruits are talking about that, and wanting to top it with their class.
Additionally, only rival fans still think Meyer's going anywhere, or won't be on the sidelines for 2010... and honestly, no reasonable person familiar with coaching, and Meyer specifically, thought he was going anywhere in the first place. He's a coach, period. He's done a great job of assembling an impressive staff, too; and has already begun delegating some of the more tedious tasks to them. He's already much improved: Very early top 25 for 2010 season | Gatorsports.com
In any event, the UT program will be back, too... it's not a matter of if, but when. Kiffin did a great sabotage job on y'all; but the likes of him can't knock any program completely out... although it'll be funny watching him come close to doing just that to USC. Once DD gets his staff set, and LK quits raiding the cupboard of coaches and recruits, it'll start looking much better for UT. Next season's recruiting should be significantly better. I think the UT program as a whole has regained a great deal of respect with the coaching change... I think Kiffin would have eventually done even more long-term damage than he already did by leaving.
No... People are "HOPING" he is gone. That record will be challenged since our (UA) 2008 clas is already 26-2 with only 4 seniors starting next year. Also to you it seems that only gators fans are reasonable. Even many of the people that get paid to follow CFB, not fans such as yourself, think that CUM is gone.
The fact is that UF and CUM have seen the SEC as a hole come back and now UF no longer has it easy. I really do not care what recruits go to UF because it will not change anything. This years team was suppose to be one of the best teams in SEC history as you stated, but yet out of the 4 teams we played from the SEC East UF was the weakest. I mean UT, USC, and Kentucky in that order gave us better games then UF did.
Enjoy your recruiting class right now, but I just hope you are still around in four years.
