Hes no where near a bust. Only reason he took so long with signing the LOI is because his dad wanted to see what happens with USC and the investigation. He wants his son to go to a prep school. (Miami) ... Hes no dumb kid.

Interesting news on Seantrell here. It says he has an unconditional release from Kiffin and could enroll anywhere and play this year without penalties.

I haven't read this entire thread, but do any of you insiders think that we stand a better chance at getting him with Dooley on board? I know he wasn't considering us before he signed with USC, but things are clearly different now.

P.S. This seems like one of the first decent and respectable things that Kiffin has done in his career. I'm sure it is somehow self-serving, I just can't see it as obviously as everything else he does.

Kiffin didn't have a choice. Henderson was able to prove that Kiffin told him that USC would be under no strict sanctions from the NCAA.

Thus Kiffin lied and Henderson had an out clause in his LOI.

If I was CDD and was able to just get Seantrel's parents to listen for 10 minutes I'd tell him....

"You can come here and start from day one. Maybe be an All-American as a freshman. Be in the NFL by the time you're 21 yrs old and have a chance at getting a street named after you. What d'ya think big fella?"
"...and for good measure you can put whatever I tell you in the bank and draw on it."

Of course, If Seantrel's dad is looking for a music career he won't find much rap in Tennessee.

Awesome news! Things are going from bad to worse for Kiffin. Wish had an interest in UT...but if not the U is just fine. This made my day.
