Well if HUMIDITY is a concern, he needs to eliminate the Southeast altogether. Hope it doesn't come down to us and Oregon...if so, than "guess who" will be back trolling on our board.

I cover recruiting for both the Oregon site and also the Alabama site and I know for a fact for King its down to Cal, Oregon, and then maybe Bama in that order.

Keenen Allan is down to Alabama and Oregon at number 1 with Clemson very very far behind.

Tennessee: "I haven't visited Tennessee, but I've been recruited heavily by Tenn. They send me hand-written mail every day. I love how they're staying on track with me and giving me time to make a decision. They're not counting me out or reading an article saying that I might commit. I like Tennessee for that."
Is King narrowing things down??

It looks like we have secured an official visit from him. He will be visiting Cal, Oregon, Bama, UT, and either Miami or Maryland...

The problem with King is he apparntly will have all the time in the world to take visits since he can't play HS ball in NC this fall.

Northern Guilford High School in Greensboro "recruited" King to play at their high school, despite the fact his true residence was listed in another district (Page High School, also in Greensboro). A relative of his lived in NGHS's district, so King listed that as his residence so that he could transfer and play for the Nighthawks. Unfortunately for him, the NCHSAA conducted an investigation of NGHS (which actually resulted in the dismissal of both the athletic director and the principal of the high school) and ruled that King could not only not play for Northern Guilford, but he couldn't play for any other school in the state, forcing him to look elsewhere to play if he chose to continue his high school playing career.

OOOPS...Has to suck to get caught like that.

An article with his mom said the coaches knew before the season started than after the season basically dumped him. Also it looks like 12 more players are becoming ineligible in the school, not just football.

If he's facing all of this risk of not playing next season, would he not try and go ahead and commit somewhere before schools start rescinding offers just because of the risk of him not playing for a year.

Not sure, but some rumors are suggesting he might go out of state to play HS this fall, but rumors right now.

Personally, I think this is wrong. Punish the coaches and school administrators. Maybe even punish the parents somehow. They shouldn't, however, take away football from this high school student. The kid is a minor that got "recruited", and I'm sure he heard plenty of coaches say that everything would be fine with the move. High school kids make dumb decisions (it may be the only thing they are all good at). I can agree with the state saying he can't play at the school he tried to transfer into, but I think banning him from play in the state and possibly taking away an avenue for him to get his college education is cold-hearted overreaction to this situation.

The problem is becoming a major issue in NC regarding BBall and Football. The state is really making a push to stop it now. Greensboro and Charlotte have been notoriuos for paying families and getting jobs for parents to get kids to transfer into the district. I think this kid is just an example the state is making to let schools understand it will no longer be tolerated.

CAL is his leader, Bama is making a move and is pushing hard , I am not sure how we are handling him "I loved Cal before I even knew how good their football program was, just because of their academics," he says. "The average graduate from there makes $202,000 a year. Football-wise, I like that I could be a hybrid guy for them either with my hand down or at linebacker. I would love that opportunity, because it's for a well-rounded player."

He's going to Cal or to Oregon with his buddies. Alabama has a lot of room to make up. They are making up room but Can and Oregon are so far ahead they will need a lot of work even now.

The sad part is I think the coaches failed to tell him that $200k is almost poverty in the part of California.

Also I think K Allen is the one we want the most and it will Oregon or UA for him. Who knows, but recruiting in a ACC state with four schools represented there makes it difficult. It would be nice but we will see.

Although they aren’t in his current top three, King says that Tennessee has been recruiting him the hardest. “I get at least like 10 pieces of mail from them everyday,” he said. “Plus they email all the time.”

King says he’s always followed the Vols, but admits it wasn’t for the most compelling reason. “I always like their colors,” he said. “But I realized that there are more important things when choosing a university.”

He says he likes the new Vols coaching staff and is excited to see what they can do. “I love the win they had in the opener (a 63-7 rout of Western Kentucky),” he said. “They looked really good and I think they’re definitely coming back.

“Plus, I love SEC football,” King said. “It’s collision football in the SEC…not tackling, collision.”

Per Scout... We could land this kid imo...

Wow. This staff is like molesting him. When his recruitment is over and he has thrown everything away that schools sent him, there will be three trash bags full of stuff from Tennessee.

Liking the color orange is as good of reason as any to choose Tennessee.

“Most certainly my top three (will receive visits)… Cal, Oregon, and Alabama,” said King regarding which programs in addition to Michigan were likely to receive officials. “Probably Tennessee (also). That’s five. I would want more, but that’s five.”

Per Scout...

It appears that King has transferred from a school in Greensboro, NC to South Eugene High School in Eugene, Oregon. Wow...

Yeah we can go ahead and mark him off the list, sounds like he is going to be Oregon bound. Glad we have this position recruited well.

strange stuff. before this i would have bet the farm he was going to Cal. I've heard from many that he was 90% on Cal. obviously this changes things though. maybe he'll rethink it when cal <loses to oregon> edited for stupidity
