Powell will be a Gator as Cunningham is graduating and William Green is not a proven commodity at weakside defensive end. USC is so stacked at DE they had to recruit him as a LB. Easley will either be a defensive tackle or strongside defensive end for us so taking him and Dunlap's impending NFL decision won't effect Powell at all.
Hicks will not be a Buckeye. He will either be a Longhorn or a Gator. It's encouraging that he was going to be an early enrollee but instead of choosing Texas following the coaching departures he decided to postpone his enrollment and see how Florida's coaching situation plays out. I give the edge to Texas right now but couple his previous actions with getting to play with a ton of Gators this week and I think if he likes the new DC and LB coach then he becomes a Gator. Early playing time is available as Stamper and Doe graduate and Jones and Brandon Hicks after next season.
Floyd's looking like a Buckeye right now but Florida's not out of it. Taking Easley (who has a chance to earn his fifth star after today) should have zero impact here as Easley is not a nose tackle and Floyd is. The Gators have three serviceable nose tackles (Marsh, Hunter and Antwine) and two are graduating after next season.
