if we cooled on him it was because of the following:

-numbers crunch...need more room for Olineman, Linebackers, and the sudden interest of several highly talent DBs

-Ambles and Milton are having very impressive years...Nukeese, Teague, and Rogers have impressed staff...Moore and Jones will be back as well...Austin may get medical redshirt...alot of new DBs have popped up which could allow us to keep Meline at WR


-He may have wanted a promise of WR or staff may not have been impressed with senior film similar to some other guys who have dropped on our board

Several big time WR and DBs still avail...as talented as he is..the staff will either hunt him down until signing day or replace him with Dunkley, Prater, Rogers, or others

ambles and milton are better receivers then cobbs. As you will notice lane runs all of 2 wide and 3 wide sets with a TE. Ambles and milton on the outside with nuke,teague,Dunkley to take up that slot reciever. Im telling you Cobbs would NOT have played there just isnt room for him to make a huge impact. I really truly think we cooled on him.

There is an article up on rivals about Cobbs commitment switch - says he hasn't heard from the UT staff in months but that is all I can read. Cobbs was one of my favorite recruits and I really hate that he is not going to be a part of this classs. This kid is a baller!

I think thats the reason he flipped his commit. Kid doesn't have the best 40time but kid a BALLER. I'm sure you know this Vader; that game tape is a little slower than real time so this kid has a very quick first step ie Crabtree also he's playing alot of QB for his HS team so that will only help in his route running. Looking at UT depth chart/commits compared to Horns( I'm a SEC homer so yall are UT in my book) I would have switched myself because he automatically becomes their best WR recruit as of yesterday. This will change if D. White or Reed enjoys visit and commits. IMO I think all the talk at UT about DB and depth gave Mack Brown(HC) all the ammo he needed to get the flip.

A kid changed his mind and went to his dream school, I fail to see where this is bad for us really. I wish him well and a successful career.

Actually Texas was hot after D White, but then he commited to us at UA two a weeks ago and it was rumored they went after D Cobbs. I really like D White, but to me D Cobbs has a lot more upside.

How DID you foresee this?? I don't think anyone really saw this coming.. I know I was shocked when I saw it this morning when I woke up. Now I'm not going to be like some of our rivals' fans and say things like "we really didn't want him anyway" or "he didn't fit our system", but this isn't the end of the world. Just like Scroggins not coming to Tennessee wasn't the end of the world. I have faith that this staff will still bring in a great class.

Sorry I didnt mean the 4* D. White I was referring to the 5* kid Darius White from Dunbar High Tx

I guess it is similar to when your with a hot girl at a party and a hotter girl comes up and gives you attention and you bail for the hotter girl. I guess to Cobbs, Texas is wearing next to nothing. I must stop the analogy.
