I hope we can pull this kid, especially if he follows through with a January enrollment. That could help our precarious O-line situation for the 2010 season.

Both North Carolina and Tennessee are pretty much in constant contact with me.

Have to love that...

On Tennessee...

I like how they’re all young and full of energy. They have a lot of desire to succeed and I don’t doubt they will.

“That was a miscommunication, but it’s no big deal,” Leifheit said. “I still have my top five. It’s still North Carolina, Southern Cal, LSU, Tennessee and Florida State. I’m still tying to figure it out on whether I’m going to cut it down before I make my decision which is still scheduled for some time in October.”

“I’m going to Tennessee next when they host UCLA (9/12) and then I have UNC set for Oct. 10 when they play Georgia Southern,” he said. “There’s a good chance that I’ll take a visit to the other three, but nothing is definitive right now.”

Per Scout... Glad to see he's coming to the UCLA game...

There's very little chance he signs here IMO... Butch Davis won't miss on him...

Well, if his visits mean anything, the UCLA game experience should blow away anything UNC can provide against Georgia Southern.

That's true. But it would be hard for anyone to pull any in-state player away from Davis. Besides that, Leifheit has had a couple of teammates who are already playing for the Heels. It would be a tough pull...

Davis has really hurt us in NC. We used to own that state. Bama seems to be really hitting NC hard to this year. There are quite a few players I would love to see us get including Leifheit, Like Gabe King, Keenan Allen, or Freshad Hunter.
