Lattimore will be a gamecock. See Alshon Jeffrey.

They go to two different high schools. Just because they live in the same state doesn't mean they have the same preferences. There are plenty of top in state players that go out of state, see Sam Montgomery.

Yea, we jumped into Alshon Jeffrey's ship two monthes before signing day whereas Spurrier has loaded all his shxt on Alshon since he's a sophomore, so the conclusion is every talented SC player would be a cock:crazy::crazy::crazy:

I live in SC and I hear alot about Lattimore. SC has been pushing this kid hard and made him their #1 priority. He has been to numerous games & practices. He has tons of friends on the team and currently being recruited. I am just saying from all the insight I get from living here...He is a gamecock. Losing their RB coach may set them back a bit but I think Graham will fill the void. The only thing that could really hurt SC's chances would be going 6-6 or worse this year.

Sounds like a story i've heard before.

From the ND site...ND has offered teammates Marcus Lattimore, Brandon Willis and Corey Miller...Lattimore talks about his interest in ND and says he is and his teammatese have discussed all going to the same school.

I live in SC too and I would say that if he stays in state Clemson is were he lands. Byrnes seems to be the pipeline that supports Clemson, with Bentley coming back I'd say Clemson has a real good shot with any of the Byrnes kids.

I'd much rather have Lache Seastrunk than him. He seems more like a very well rounded, jack of all trades RB, but not the type Kiffin was successful with at USC. I've read that he's not overly illusive and lacks cutback ability. Seastrunk would fit in much better in Kiffin's offense. JMO
ive saw this kid play about his entire life being a byrnes grad & former player. he is everything u could want in a rb & a great young man. how we (UT) do this season would help.

he is also far from a sc lock. i would say he is seriously considering about 1O schools at this point. like i said before how we do this season will be big.

Marcus will be here for an unofficial on Sunday with his mother and will take in the Alabama/UT game while he's here.

Lattimore said his mother, step-father and three others will join him on the visit. "Tennessee is recruiting me hard," Lattimore said. "They send me hand written letters. I like coach Kiffen and the running backs coach."

Lattimore Set For Busy Month | GoGamecocks

A report out of VQ says that he was present for our beatdown of SC in Columbia last week, when UT clinched the eastern division. He apparently was wearing a Cocks ball cap.

Two wins in a row and a nice visit, we could make his early list that he wants to have by May.

Here's a recent quote---

“I want a coach who is straight forward, honest, and someone who will get the best out of me,” Lattimore said. “Someone that I can go and talk to, how would I fit into your football plans."

sound like a certain coach we know?

IMO it will be hard to get Lattimore out of SC. It will be even harder if Bryce Brown commits to the Vols.

Well, for one thing, Bryce is likely a 3 year player so you have to start recruiting his replacement, of course you have Oku and he might not make it into school this year, but regardless, you always have to be recruiting runningbacks. RB certainly won't be a position of need next year, but it would be nice to get at least one guy with starting potential.

I tend to agree with the "who cares" line of thinking, but realistically you have to think about all that other stuff. If we get Bryce Brown we are going to be set.

I remember hearing that Oku was right on the edge of early enrolling. How could there be a chance of him not getting into school? Just because of things possibly getting botched from transferring?

I thought he transferred to Nebraska to be with his girlfriend? I could be wrong though...
