He'll be going against one of the best in Davis. I would love to get UNC back for Marvin Austin.

Did you really have to bring that back up? lol but yes. Butch is one of the better recruiters nationally. He is tough to beat. I think the only person we really beat him out for lately was EJAW and we all know how that turned out.

To put it simply UNC has been taking over, and thats why Phil is done at UT.

I agree with the UT part. CPF totally took his foot off the gas and it can be seen.

But Butch has made UNC into a good program. I look forward to our staff competeing with Butch and his staff. It will be a good measuring stick.

"I don't have any favorites but schools I am really looking at this point in time are Florida State, Tennessee, North Carolina, Cal, and Southern Cal," Miller said.

Tennessee: "They are fun, Lane (Kiffin) is fun. They have the hype over there. I have met Ed (Orgeron) is a heck of a coach."

GC: Have you made any official or unofficial visits yet?

CM: My unofficials, I've been to Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina.

GC: What's stood out about them?

CM: South Carolina is close and in-state, so is Clemson, and they're both great schools. North Carolina, coach (John) Blake and coach (Butch) Davis both have league potential in them. Florida State is a program with history. There's a lot of stuff down there. Tennessee, with Monte Kiffin and Lane Kiffin, they're making a lot of noise up there right now.

GC: Are you concerned with some of the noise that's been going on at Tennessee?

CM: It's just exciting. They've got a whole new coaching staff. Even though they had a little rough time at the beginning, they're picking things up. They've got some great recruits coming in, they've got a great team, so I'm looking forward to seeing some great things out of them.

Miller, the No. 57 prospect in the country, lists Florida State as his current leader, followed closely by North Carolina. California, Tennessee and Oregon round out his current top five, with the Vols having the best chance to move up the list because of Orgeron. Miller hopes to visit FSU, UNC and Tennessee this summer, and he wants to take a West Coast trip if he can fit it in.

I don't see how FSU or the other top 5 teams could look more attractive than UT to Miller after he visits, unless the talent we already have committed scares him off.

Further, Miller -- who said Tennessee is in his top three in a grouping that right now really only has four schools in legitimate contention for his prodigious services -- has lost down to 229 pounds but is working toward a goal of 245 by his senior season.

"Yeah, they are" in his top three, Miller said. "I'm keeping an open list of five, Florida State, Cal, North Carolina and Tennessee. I don't really have a fifth right now. I'm kind of focusing on these four right now. There's not a top list, but Tennessee is pretty high on my list."

Kid was beyond unblockable. TOS said he was untouchable during camp. He raved about Ed O and Monte. We are in his top five and are high in that list. He came to camp with his high school buddy, Brandon Eillis who is also a top DE prospect. Their high school, Byrnes, is a bad *ss program. They develop kids well their and the kids are suppose to come to college very well coached.

3 team race for Miller and Tennessee is in the absolute thick of it. I hate to make a projection this early but they made a huge move with him this week.

New article on Jacques Smith mentions Corey Miller. If we are to snag Miller the article says that we might have the two best DE in the country. Jacques goes on to say that the talent at the camp was amazing and the top D line prospects were as fast as linebackers. Smith loved JC Copelands explosiveness too

Miller was unstoppable durng camp. Smith and Miller on the same line at the same time would be insane

His top 5 are FSU, Cal, UCLA, UNC, and UT, in no order.

thoughts on UT...

The thing that has me interested there is the new coaching staff. I didn't use to be interested in Tennessee but when the new coaching staff came in they were so hyped and so energetic with everything. Coach Orgeron and Coach Kiffin, both of the Coach Kiffins, Monte and Lane. Monte helped build the (Tampa Bay) Buccaneers up. They have a powerhouse coaching staff. They have a great team coming in this season. Their recruiting is going really well. They are on the rise quick.
