'10 TN TE Tyler Robinson

Hey guys (and gals),
Didn't see a thread on this kid, but KNS just did an article stating that he had strong interest in UT. Currently committed to Kentucky, but I think it would be an easy pull. I know he is just a two star, but does it really matter, and can we afford to be that picky? I think TE is definitely an area of need for us, and I think recruiting East Tennessee, and especially Alcoa HS, would not be a bad thing.

Here's his Rivals profile.

Anybody know anything else about him? Seen him play, etc.?

We need bodies, and he already has pretty good size. Rs him and try to bulk him up to guard or center.

Agree completely. It really hurts when guys like this get spurned by UT. Maybe they are hoping he goes the McBee route and walks-on here, but I can't imagine doing that when he has offers from other BCS schools (including an SEC school.... well sort of SEC). Really would like to get this kid though. There is something to be said for kids that bleed orange but don't necessarily have all the talent in the world. See Reveiz and the Sullins twins.

I hope Dooley gives this kid a chance. He has good size and decent speed and is probably better than his 2 star ranking. He will probably add weight pretty easily and could be a solid OL. I would rather have a 2 star kid that bleeds orange than a 4 or 5 star that is over rated and doesn't.

Fill your roster with these kind of players and you'll be fighting Vanderbilt to stay out of the SEC East cellar.

He has a teamate that will be a senior next year that UT should take a look at. Derek Evans is a 6'3 275lbs OL. This guy is an animal.
