Everyone is upset right now and I get it. We have to trust Heupel to make changes on defense in the off season. But to simply act like there still nothing to play for is silly. No one thought 10-2 was possible at the start of the season

Prior to this season UT Football has 19, 10 win seasons in school history. Our last 10 win season was 2007. If all goes right we still have a chance to win 11 games. Last time UT won 11+ games was 2001. Heupel is in his 2nd year and to have a chance at 11 wins with the mess he took over is remarkable.

At the beginning of the season most predictions had us 7-5 to 8-4 at best. We was picked 3rd in the East and 6th in SEC. We have exceeded expectations this season.

Does it not bother you even a little bit that we just blew our first and last chance in and for a long time to make the playoffs? It was served to us on a silver platter this year. We said no thank you.

So you know our future record next year and year after that? Care to share?

Why does it gotta be our last chance? No one expected the playoffs this year. This was a rebuilding year from the start. Let’s see what Heupel does in years 3-5 when he has all his recruits on board. It does bother me we blew our chance this year. But what makes you think we can’t be back in same position next year?

Because Heupel is Butch 2.0!!!!!

Sure, I am upset about this lost opportunity, but come on.
If someone had offered up a possibility of a 10 win season a couple of years ago, I would have jumped on it no questions asked.

I just base it on the history of the program. The stars aligned for us in 98. We took advantage of every opportunity. It hasn't happened since until this year.

We could have made the playoffs and got our teeth kicked in by Georgia or Ohio state. Our defense hasn't been good this season. I have said most of the season we wouldn't have beat Florida or Alabama on the road.....

I don’t know what “served on a silver platter” means to you, but no one “served” wins over Alabama, LSU, Florida, Kentucky, etc. to Tennessee. The Vols earned them.

Of course it bothers all of us that we lost our shot at the CFP. But we’re also reasonable enough to see where this program is headed and that this one has still exceeded expectations.

We had a chance to make the playoffs, in November. Does it not excite you a little bit, that Heupel had us in that position in year two? That wasn't even a conversation two months ago.

Agree they earned every win. No argument. The silver platter was referring to the last 3 games in our path to CFP.

Wasn’t even in the convo when he was hired that we may be CFP contenders this early.

Yes it absolutely does. I am just upset about how it turned out. That's ok too.

Not pumping nothing. I’m just simply stating this was always a rebuilding year and we have a strong chance to finish 11-2. This could be the best season wins wise since 2001.
We have been rebuilding since 2009. 🤣

It was a great year. Just wish we could have seen what happened in CFP.

Nothing will change no matter who coaches us until we change the talent level and put the staff in place that can motivate that talent. If that is JH and his staff I am 110% in. JH has to prove that he can recruit multiple 5 stars then complete the team with 4 star talent mixed with a select few of coachable 3 stars. We aren't catching the bama's, lsu's and uga's of the world with our current roster. We just lost 2 SEC games..................the exact amount that BowlCut has lost in the last FIVE YEARS. Even the great Nick Saban has lost 6! We have to land better talent and add depth to contend with our rivals. This starts and ends with recruiting success.

We will be a 8-4 or 9-3 team next year. We won’t sniff the playoffs
