Is this the year we get Florida? No fancy thread explanation or anything. Just wanted to see what y'all thought. I think it's our best chance in a while but of course most say that every year. I just don't know how Florida will rebound after last year and their new offensive scheme kinda scares me

I'll will be able to give you a better answer in August. It all depends on how our Defense develops. They won't be able to score with our O because of our weapons so if our D can be decent we can out score them.

Yes. We're facing a 4-8 team at home, so we should expect to win. I predict it will be by double-digits.

We won't beat Alabama, but I think we at least have a chance against everybody else. After seeing our QB play in the spring game, we should end up 8-4 or 7-5 at worst.

Yes. But I've thought that before.

Right now, yeah it feels like it should be a win, but this is April. By the time we play Florida, both teams will have played 4 games. Florida will probably be 3-1, as 3 of their first 4 games are bad opponents, and we could be anywhere from 3-1 to 1-3.

In 2012 we thought it was a sure win too, they were coming off a disappointing 6-6 campaign, and somewhat struggled in their 2 games before us, and we thought we were going to be pretty good that season.

Actually, the last time Bama had a 7 game streak on Tennessee, UT's entire defense somehow didn't see David Palmer line up at QB, allowing Bama to tie the game (a tie that we later forfeited). That 7 game streak became 8-0-1 before the game you mentioned.

Florida's defense will certainly match our offense. They merely need to find a way to score against a young, inexperienced defense with a particularly slow secondary.

Many around here are high on our offense atm and perhaps rightfully so, but I am concerned about the D big time. This is enough to cause me to hesitate before putting a mark in the win column against Florida. Plus we always find a way to lose to them for almost a decade now.

i have set my goal for this staff at 7-5. Anything less and I start to get nevous. I think two of the strings must be broken this year to reach 7-5. I'm sure the pundits will go with 5-7 or at best 6-6 but it's time for better.
