I actually read something a few days ago that estimated a team's probability of getting to 12 wins based on percentage of blue chip recruits and the past season's results.
Bayes Theorem and the College Football Title Contenders - Football Study Hall
Basically, it gave Tennessee a 0% chance of getting to 12 wins.
We could win it if:
Jalen Hurd is the next Adrian Peterson
Riley Ferguson is the next Johnny Manziel
Von Pearson is the next CP
Josh Malone is the next JH
And our D somehow improves drastically.
I was in Vegas for a trade show this week and decided to lay some cash on the Vols. I put $20 (high roller, I know) on them to win the National Title. I was just kinda shocked when I saw the odds. Auburn was a 50:1 last year and they had a new coach and were terrible in 2012. What do you guys think of the odds?

So...not to pry too much...but what exactly were you doing in Vegas then if not to gamble?[/QU
