I wouldn't take the bet 5 years from now.

It's not like the rest of the SEC is sitting around and waiting on the Vols to catch up.

Dude it's $20. I don't really think we will win but the two guys with me laid $20 on SC so I had to do it. This was the only gambling I did in my 3 days in Vegas.

So...not to pry too much...but what exactly were you doing in Vegas then if not to gamble? :)

50:1 odds on Auburn just about paid off again for a guy who laid
$500 on 100:1 odds on Auburn in 2010...he bet $500 again last year...
so I'd say he's doing OK... its $20,no harm,no foul...
UT might catch lightening in a bottle...

We could win it if:

Jalen Hurd is the next Adrian Peterson
Riley Ferguson is the next Johnny Manziel
Von Pearson is the next CP
Josh Malone is the next JH

And our D somehow improves drastically.

We don't need another JH. His alligator arms and self tackling displays were nauseating his last year. He did have a few great freshman games. We need a better role model for our WRs to attain than JH. How about P. Price? Or Stanley Morgan? Or Willie Gault?

Thought about that too but there's only 120 some odd teams so can the odds be worse than the number of teams?

It's not simple math (1 out of 120) but rather probabilities. Big difference. Not all 120 schools are equal and they do not carry the same probabilities for success (The Title).

3 days in Vegas and only 1 bet???

I would have bet more than that in 2 minutes playing black jack, LOL!

I hope we win it all just so you'll win my friend!

I was in Vegas for a trade show this week and decided to lay some cash on the Vols. I put $20 (high roller, I know) on them to win the National Title. I was just kinda shocked when I saw the odds. Auburn was a 50:1 last year and they had a new coach and were terrible in 2012. What do you guys think of the odds?

You got the same payoff betting Auburn to win the national championship last year as if you bet Harvard to win it last year: $0

Think about it. If this season were played 100 times would UT go 15-0 at least once in that series of 100? I really don't think so.

Should have given that $20.00 to one of the homeless people out there. More practical.

Bet as much as you can afford to lose...and I hope you clean up.
