103rd Annual Rose Bowl - USC vs Penn State

I'm about over these 4 hour games. I know, it's a bowl game, but the UT/A&M game was right at 4 hours of regulation play. Too many games are going 3:30 or 3:45 now.

No offense, but after watching THAT game, that's your thought? For me, that game was so good, I'd have been thrilled if it had last 8 hours

I get his point, though. There is too much down-time in these games. I don't see how the teams can maintain their flow.

It was a stupid play by PSU at the end. They already almost got picked off tossing into double coverage on the previous play, why try the same thing again?

It was a calculated risk. I think they wanted the game over without allowing USC back on the field. Their QB appears to be nothing more than a touchdown throwing robot, so hoping for a win in OT probably wasn't a good idea. He wasn't going to rattle, so they did what they could to put themselves in FG range. It didn't work, if it had Franklin is a genius. I was hoping it would be a good game and it was.

My vote for biggest crow eater this bowl season has to go to Herbstreit. He had pretty much written the Men of Troy off in the 3rd quarter, talking death nails in the coffin, unstoppable PSU RB, and then 17 unanswered in thr 4th quarter by the Trojans. End of the day you can take Herby out of the Big10 but he'll always be a Big10 homer, crap league that it always has been, is, and will forever be.
