Big time recruit.. i'll love to get this stud..
but who knows what he'll be on the depth chart!!
but you can never have too many RB's..
this guy some say is like a young jamal lewis

If that is true, can we get him on the field before the UF game.

It would be nice, but yesterday people were posting in the Davis thread that Davis is most likely going to Auburn (although I thought Auburn pulled thier offer after the official last week, prompting rumours on other boards of off the field issues). A couple of days ago people were saying Ole Miss. We may just be getting best guesses. I do think a great RB can elevate an entire team at times, like D-Mac for Arky. UTK could use him.

if we could land this kid, maybe our recruiting class would not look like such a joke to some people.

While he would be a great get we still need a couple of foaming at the mouth DT's. Any new word on that?

I have stated it several times so far and I am still confident. We get Davis tomorrow and Coples too! We really need Coples. He is a big time DE prospect.

If Davis was going to Auburn he would have already recommited. He dropped his commitment after they went to the spread offense, and they are still planning on running it. Ole Miss has since added 3 or 4 RB's, Oregon is too far away. Unless he see's something in Maryland that just blows him away, that is if he even makes an unofficial visit before tomorrow, he is Big Orange Bound!

Not to sound stupid, but what exactly is prep school, I thought alot of non qualifiers went there. If he played football there how would it not count agenst him?:)

No not prep school. Hargrave and the likes don't count.

Vinson, Hefney and Antonio Reynolds are three guys that went there.

Prep School is like a post-grad High School. It is not college. I knew a couple of kids who "prepped" at Darlington, not for sports, but just because their H.S. grades were so bad that they could not get into any decent college. It gives you the opportunity to raise your GPA and show a dedication to furthering your education.

Even if Davis' grades are sketchy I think he is worth the gamble. A lot of programs had some egg on face last year when they backed off Noel Devine.
