Where is this team going from now, I have no idea - I do not think Barnes does either. First half inside game atrocious, rebounding atrocious from our inside game, half time adjustments zero- Kentucky scored more in second half than first 55 t0 52. I think the 6 million coach is about to repeat last year's efforts with 2 5 stars on the team .. I hope I am wrong

The effort must come from players, I did not see the effort of KY being met by UT players. It looked like they gave up before the game. If you want to go to the League, the stuff does not impress anyone. Changing teams does not change attitude.

Will y’all stop freaking out. Y’all played the best Kentucky team since 2015 that has a ton of weapons on a day that JBH passed away. Also this was the first time Rupp arena has been packed and ready to go for a rival game since COVID started. Kentucky had one of those special days and would of looked like that against any team in the country. Kentucky is a good team but they aren’t that good. Just had extra energy and the stars aligned for them that day. Tennesse just happened to play them at the worst time possible. When Kentucky travels to Knoxville it will look like a normal game. Even from a Kentucky fan that game was not normal. Ig Tennessee could of tried to make it a little harder but it wouldn’t of mattered. I don’t think this is something to worry about for Tennessee fans l. I get it sucked to watch but I think y’all will be fine

Kentucky obvious had a great shooting day - great from a historical standpoint.

This UT team is not as bad as some think . . . But thus far they have not played up to what many expected. My guess is where they go from here is to end up with 19-20 wins . . . And around .500 or a little better in conference . . . With maybe an opening day win in the SEC tournament and maybe one win in the NCAA.

We don’t have an inside presence / Fulky (outside of one game) has not looked good / we are limited on offense.

Average season overall but at least we will make the NCAA.

Kentucky was making a lot of wide open shots but dang people they were making contested shots as well. Play that game again and i promise they will not shoot that way again. Mix in Tennessee struggles to score and the lack of post options. What did you expect. Kentucky isnt that much better than Tennessee. They just played there best game of the season.

Wait, so you’re saying we shouldn’t fire Rick Barnes?

No not saying that just sayin idk what coach or team would of mattered on that day. Barnes needs to go for sure imo but cal needs to go also. This was his year to prove something. He is lucky Oscar is doing what he has done so far. But for Barnes I think Tennessee can do much better than him. Tennessee has everything they need to be a basketball program. Ik traditionally y’all are a football school but I see it being more attainable being a powerhouse in basketball than football. Georgia and bama are just unfair in football so I can see Tennessee having a top program every year. They are a good team this year but I do think it’s time to get a new face in town that will bring a new excitement to the program. Just my opinion tho. I can see Tennessee being a powerhouse with the right coach. Knoxville is already a hard place to play regardless

thanks for sharing, but what else would your most hated team fans say ? This Vol team needed their a$$es kicked like that to get the coach to realize he is “stuck” in his ways and he ain’t giving it his all . He needs to take the advice he gave Fulkerson . Put it out there or get out of the way.
now enjoy the win and I hope you lose every game for the rest of the season.
I guarantee that horseshoe will fall out of your teams rear end soon, and I hope Wheeler gets the $hit tomahawked out of him this year . Slapping Vescovi in the face was so middle school rec ball. But you know this Vol team ain’t got someone who will put an opposing play on their a$$ . Thanks for the patronizing
comments.

The main thing I noticed was how uninterested Barnes looked on the sideline. Almost like he could care less how the game was going. And to be fair the refs were not calling jack diddly on Kentucky just because of the circumstances with JBH. That is just the truth. Refs do play a big part in games weather people want to accept it or not. It’s easy to sound crazy if your saying the refs screwed your team but when you can see them helping your team are you still crazy and full of excuses?

Or are you tired of him beating UK?
I agree though he needs to be canned.

Ha I was waiting on somebody to say that. I don’t see it happening much anymore from Barnes tho.Cal has his little advantages back in recruiting like when he first arrived so I see him going on another 5 year dominate stretch like when he arrived but then when teams catch up again and he loses his mojo again I think it will be time to retire. The last 3 or four years he just hasn’t had the talent and he is not a good x and os coach with less talent. He barely gets the job done with NBA rosters so unless Cal is loaded with talent he falls off as you have seen the last several years. NIL and transfer portal have made it like a cheat code for him again

I had to it was there for the taking. I agree with you though, Cal has the advantage with recruiting and I think in the long term his teams will be better than before because he will have his pick fromt he portal to go along with his 5 star studs. Barnes is going to keep playing Barnes ball.
I remember reading too Cal lost his top assistant to the NBA, I think he might have just found that guys replacement.

Don’t think there was a lack of talent in Lexington lol

Yea I agree with talent wise compared to most teams but for cal he hasn’t had a player to just dominate or take over games like he is used to having. Missed on a lot of big recruits to duke and other schools because he lost his mojo in recruiting. I do think with the talent he has had tho any good coach could have done a lot better than cal did. If he has to do to much coaching he seems to fall back and have excuses instead of making the most of what he’s got. If Barnes had Kentucky’s roster the last few years I see him doing more with it

The similarities of this year & last year is disturbing. Yes this years team has better PG play but both were/are limited due to no inside game and lack of consistency at 3pt shooting.
