On 11/16/12 - Volnation was split almost exactly 50/50

On 11/20/12 - Volnation was overwhelmingly pro-Gruden, with 72% thinking it was more likely than not that Gruden would be hired by Tennessee.

I'm around that as well for the same reason. If anything, that denial made me more confident.

This thing has just become a monster. Hart has really effed up if Gruden isn't in the bag.

After reading the transcript (not hearing it) it seems like to me he was trying to avoid talking about it. Maybe because the less said the less he has to lie? Anyone who heard it can you tell me if his tone agrees with that?

I haven't changed my stance and until we hear something from Hart then I'll continue to say it's 50/50. If we get him great, but if we don't then hopefully Hart has someone that is worth a damn lined up.

I'd have to listen to it as well, but reading the transcript of the interview.....that was a non-denial denial, IMO.

If you listen to the way Bob Stoops denied the rumors, he just laughed them off, as did Chris Peterson...Gruden wanted to quickly change the subject...I'm more confident now than I ever have been.

I feel good about it. He had the perfect chance to finally kill the rumors and yet he didn't. Tells me something is going on behind the scenes.

I've consistently said we have a small chance...but today's comments actually increased the chances in my mind.

He sounded very flustered. If there was no truth at all, he would have laughed it off and said something like, Tennessee has always been a special place to me but I have no plans to coach there." Or something like tht. Ike and Mike were trying to joke around about Jon getting them a cabinet seat or something, since the Governor of TN was involved, and Jon said he didn't have time to get into all that and wanted to talk about Monday Night football....

I've always been on the "fingers and toes crossed but I'll believe it when I see it" seat. Listening to him try to deny it was odd at best. It definitely didn't come across as much of a denial to me.

That report they're talking about coming outta Memphis...geez did that come straight from VolNation? I know I read that stuff on here last week almost verbatim.

The fact that he seemed very flustered and didn't deny anything except for this already goofy Browns rumor is the single biggest deal to me in this whole fiasco. After hearing that, I feel 100% that he is at least in play.

Exactly, if the deal is done and they are waiting to make an official announcment he's not going to let it slip on mike and mike. My guess is, if there is a deal in place, they are waiting for a specific date. I've thought all along his announcement, if it is him, would be all about marketing. My bet is either Friday or an announcement during the first half of the SECCG, it's free publicity and I can gaurantee you the story of the weekend won't be the result of the SECCG. This is only my opinion but, if I were in Dave Hart's position it's what I would do.

For the "deal" to be debunked on Mike & Mike, espn is sure running with it. It is not like the first day Gruden has been linked with Tennessee. I guess espn doesn't want another network to break the story? If it was addressed, and settled on M&M, why keep running it?
