I just want the coaching search to be over so I can do something more productive with my life than ponder who the next HC at UT is going to be.

Why exactly haven't we offered it to him? This silence is killing me and I'm sick of reading TheVolReporter BS...I can't stand that no media outlet has us offering or talking to anyone.

With as much expectation as there is with the fan base to make this hire, the quicker they can squash that it won't happen will make it a lot easier on whoever the next coach is

Honestly, anything Gruden or anyone says needs to be taken lightly. It's all coach speak and doesn't mean a thing. When your working on a contract, you certainly don't want to let people know because a failed deal look bad on the school or the coach.

^^^the above article actually states that Gruden has not been offered the job WITH a stake of Cleveland Browns ownership. The title is misleading, and this information is old.

Article is misleading. He never said there was not an offer just that he had not been offered part of the Browns.

I heard a log time ago after MSU loss that Hart was not going to make an officially make an offer to Gruden unless he knew for certain he would accept. This is second hand info I received forwarded to me in an email and have heard nothing since. Take it as what it is worth and what you want to as I have done the same. So maybe Hart hasn't officially put a contract in his hand saying this is our final offer but possibly many BIG MONEY guys have. JMO
