I sent it in to be posted here as well. Basically thats his top 3 and he will consider adding a couple more schools after he evaluates them. But I can tell you Tenn won't be one of them.

I don't see those 3 sticking either. However, he does look like a perfect RB for Iowa. Idk if they're recruiting him as a RB or LB though.

Most believed that he would stay in the Midwest and I concur with that. He got upset about his visit to UA. Apparantly only the Rb coach was there to meet him. He was not very happy above the lack of attention from our staff. Oh well I hope his visit to BCW was worth the trip south.

Here's the story for any of you who want to see it.

Edwardsville, IL.- Call him big. Call him strong. Just don't call him slow.

Jumbo athlete Rodney Coe is a monster athlete looking to take his game on the offensive side of the ball in college. At 6'2" 245 pounds he is a load to handle when he builds up a head of steam. The star player has well over 30 offers from all over the country and just finished up his second major road trip. He's been active this spring taking some visits and has actually gotten to a point where he has narrowed his selections some.

"Everything's good now, I'm going to lay low for a while now. I just got back from visiting Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas. Alabama was a nice visit. The facilities were nice, but hardly any coaches were there except for the running back coach. He was really great and he's from the St. Louis area originally so there was that connection. But I was disappointed that no one else was around. I enjoyed Auburn a lot. The coaches were all there for "Big Cat" weekend. I had a great chance to talk with the players and coaches there. I enjoyed that visit a lot. Arkansas I like them. There is a good chance for me to play running back there early. The coaches and people were real cool. My uncle went there which is just another reason I like them."

Trying to entertain 30 plus schools is a ridiculous task for any high school recruit. Rodney is aware of the time involved which is why he has started trimming his list already. He knows 3 schools that he will take official visits to and will remain on his list. He has not decided if he will add any other schools or what he will do.

"Three schools for sure I know will be there are Auburn, Arkansas, and Iowa. Those three schools are my top 3, I may add some more to make it a top 5 or 7, I'm not sure. But I do know that I like each of these three schools and have a high interest. I'm at the point where I'm narrowing it down. I don't have a plan for my commitment. I will likely take those three visits and maybe those will be the only three. I could potentially commit on my first or second visit even, I just don't know. Right now with those visits I'm going to spend some time looking it all over."

Tennessee was expected to receive a visit from Rodney on his most recent southeast swing. He took a moment to explain that cancellation.

"I just didn't find time to fit it in on our trip. We already were short on time and it just didn't work out. So I decided not to go there. I'm not sure if I'll make up the visit in the future, but at this point it doesn't seem too likely."

Oregon and Alabama are a couple of schools who have offered Coe. At this point they are left outside of the top 3, but could remain in the picture possibly.

"I'm not closed to anybody, but I like those three more right now. At this point I won't add many schools to my list. Alabama is there, but Oregon is a little down the list right now."

His offer's are for running back and line backer. Most feel he would make a natural linebacker, or hybrid defensive end. However it's all running back for Coe in college he claims.

"Most schools comment on my size first. They think I'm big but not slow at all. Lots of coaches are impressed with how I move, like I'm a smaller back. I can break off long runs, I'm the whole package. I'm working on my hips and flexibility, and keeping my speed and getting faster. I only played 6 games last year, this year I want to play all 9 and get over 1,000 yards. I also want to post some solid receiving yards this year."

It's my article/interview, I called him, wrote it and ESPN used parts of it for what you read. But yes you are right, I don't do this with other people's material.

He's a good prospect but I'm over it at this point. It's clear we're in good shape with recruits at both the RB position and LB position so I'd like to get this kid but it aint no thing.

"Auburn will make the cut for sure," said Coe. "I know I will be taking an official visit to Auburn. I'm not sure when it will be. It may be after our season, but Auburn will get a visit."

Coe, 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, is ranked the No. 4 recruit in Illinois and the No. 17 athlete in the country. Iowa and Arkansas would also receive an official visit, "and maybe Tennessee". All four schools are recruiting Coe to play running back.

Coe is listed as an athlete, but the majority of colleges are recruiting him to play running back.
"Those are really the four that I'm looking into right now," he said. "I have reasons for liking each of them. I want to be a running back and Iowa and Arkansas, and I guess Tennessee, too, run more out of the I-formation and that's what I'm really looking into. I think I'm best running downhill rather than out of the shotgun. I also like the coaching staffs at Iowa and Arkansas.

It'd be nice to get him.....though it seems we're not too high on his top 5, dropping the "and MAYBE tennesee"

I have found that the search feature is not always accurate. I have searched for specific names and it either came up with nothing or I found it way down on the results page.

go to advanced search and select "Search titles only" and you'll get much better results

Doesn't make sense. Talking about Auburn then saying he wants to run out of the I formation. Maybe just a free visit to the barn.
