why would you not want this kid? very impressive offer list. good height, room to grow/add weight. good gpa, for those that are looking for "high character players." wouldnt know the first thing about what to look for in an OL video, but i like this kid. a lot.

LV, where do you think we stand? top 5? top 3? neither?

I worked a youth football camp up in his area. General feeling is that Northwestern is a suprisingly strong contender. USC appears to be fading, while Tennessee and Vandy are both schools that intrigue him a lot. Don't be surprised to see Notre Dame try to get involved, his teammate from last season Chris Watt is at Notre Dame.

No way, This cat is the #6 G overall, and damn near a top 150 prospect. Couple that with our need for a Guard or 2, and he is absolutely a take.

Alright so maybe "a chunk" is a little overboard but still. IMO he's not a take atm.

I really don't know why UT would not take 12-14 OL/DL this year. I know we need some help at LB/ DB, but I think this year we should focus on the future.

Ya Walsh had planned on trying to get down here to check out his options but was blown away in Iowa City on his visit. He may still take visits though so this one isn't necessarily over, but we would probably be a fringe candidate to get a visit if he takes any.

We apparently backed off of him if he commited to Iowa.
