“I have offers from Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Michigan, Nebraska and SMU have all offered. I have eight or nine offers.”

“At this time I don’t have any favorites. I am looking forward to narrowing my list down in the coming weeks. I want to commit this June or July.”

Per Rivals...

Sounds like he will be committing soon. Very impressive offer list and I couldn't help but notice who he named first.

Was reading an article earlier about how deep Joseph's ties go into LA and from what I've read so far he has some very very deep ties to LA especially New Orleans. I can't think of the number but supposebly he's worked at multiple HS in New Orleans alone and is very well respected in the coaches circle there as well as the whole state of LA. I'd be willing to bet that Turner is getting recruited by Joseph and he's staying on him hard.

State of Louisiana is sick this year, they can't sign 'em all.

truf. LSU hasn't offered Turner and in the article he sounds mad at them and says he isn't really on their board or something.

2 more I'd watch us having a chance with the more year goes on are Mickey Johnson and Jeremy Hill.

:salute:

LSU just received a verbal from DT Quentin Thomas...making that their 2nd DT commit...

they also offered Juco DT Lincome....

What's the deal with Hill? Does Hilliard have him looking around?

Hill has always been of the mind he's not going to close anything out, but he is committed to LSU. He wants to look around, and has told the LSU coaches as much.

and they are actively pursuing other RBs as well like Artaves Gibson.

If there is anyone in the state, not named Richardson I would like to land, it's Gibson. He's a faster Darkwa, and having a pipeline to Mitchell (I think that's his school), is always a good thing.

He goes to Mitchell. Richardson is tops, hands down. After that, toss up between Washington and Gibson. I'm high on Bryson as well, not sure if he will get a serious look from us though.

I really like Gibson at LB, i remember reading a rivals article that said he could be a beast there.

He's already got better offers than Darkwa ever had and he was hurt all last year.

If Gibson could get completely healthy, he could be the best player in the state.

In terms of just overall player, Gibson and Washington may be better, but in our position, I would take Kerbyson over either of them. His offer list is getting to be very legit.

I agree that Kerbyson is a take over Gibson at this time.

Richardson and Kerbyson are my top two right now. Gibson and Washington will be more highly rated than Kerb, but I want big bodies bad. TWSS.

Like all of you Richardson is number 1 for me but I would absolutely love to get Gibson as a RB. I think the kid is the real deal and could very successful as a pounding back here especially with the way Dooley loves to run the ball. I really want to get Kerbyson as well and think he could be a great addition to a position of need. I'm not really feeling the love from Washington though.

Too many of these threads devolve into discussions/arguments about the best players in Tennessee.

"Coach Joseph seems like a great guy, we've talked a few times and he's definitely one of the reasons I'm interested in Tennessee," Turner said. "I haven't been up there yet, but I plan to make it there this summer. I'm going to try to get up there for camp, but if that doesn't work out I'll just make a visit to check things out on my own."

"I would say they're in good shape (to make it)," Turner said. "I'm still open minded about everything and I haven't cut anyone out but Tennessee is one of the schools that kind of stand out to me now."

"I know from talking to Coach Joseph that the offensive line is a big need and that's something I'm definitely paying attention to, school's depth charts. Having a chance to come in and compete early in my career is something that I want to do," Turner said when asked about what he knew of the Vols' needs up front.

Joseph was recruiting him while he was at La tech so we seem to have a solid relationship with him.
