Is Trai being recruited exclusively as a OL? Because IMO, he would make a beast of a nose guard in a 3-4 with his size, active hands, and quickness.

Trai Turner is no where near Antonio Richardson. Richardson is going to be a Top 50 National Recruit and a high 4 star guy that has offers from everybody from coast to coast and Turner will most likely be a low 4 star kind of guy with some solid offers, but nothing like Richardson. I'm not saying Turner isn't any good, I'm just reminding you how good Richardson is. Both of these guys would look great in orange!

Yes i realize Richardson is good but I think Trai has this nastiness about him. Trai is gonna be a good one.

true that eric. LSU just waved a finger and JC come running like a puppy. well, that and our coach leaving the night before NSD. lol i wouldnt feel good about this kid being a Vol until the day he signs.

also with Copeland you have to factor in that Dooley didn't speak to him on his official visit in January so as to get more official visits from the NCAA, Copeland had a teammate who had been committed to LSU all year, Copeland actually held an LSU offer unlike Turner, J.C. loved Orgeron, and we didn't even have a DL coach at the time.

“My mom was just so happy for me, especially after talking to coach Frank,” Turner said. “They talked about family, church, New Orleans and even a little football.

“I can tell you one thing. Coach Frank can sell a program. My mom almost seemed as excited and happy as I am. The fact that he has connections to New Orleans and my school is really big for us. That kind of seperates coach Frank and LSU from everyone else.”

Turner, who had plans to commit to a school by July, said that the offer makes his process that much simpler.

“I will definitely be deciding before the summer ends,” said Turner, who holds over 20 scholarship offers. “This was one I was really waiting on. I don’t want to say it is over with or anything, but LSU is in a really, really good spot.

I have to agree, just watching Turner's film, he's no doubt one of the top OG's in the South. Also saw him play on TV last year in the playoffs and he could just as easily play DT/NG in the SEC

this is what I was sayin ab him and Frank Wilson, too many connections. NOLA kids are pretty much off the table as long as he's at LSU.
