'11 MI WR DeAnthony Arnett - UT Commit

I'm about to be bashed again for this but after watching Arnett's film some more, I'm still not that impressed. I don't see great speed and I've yet to see him break a tackle. I hope I'm wrong about him but I'm just not seeing what other Vol fans are seeing.

He has a ton of quicks can't be covered one on one. Watch guys try to cover him in his camp films for some kicks. They are No where near him when he catches the ball

A receiver should never lose a 1-on-1 matchup at a camp setting. They have the whole field to work with. I'm talking about actually game tape. I'm much more impressed with Vincent than I am Arnett.

Vincent has the speed & bigger body right now, Arnett has the hands & route running ability. I really hate comparing players but think of Vincent as a younger Denarius Moore & Arnett a younger Gerald Jones (w/out the injuries).

I wasn't as impressed with him either in the All-American game. He had trouble with the physical play in that game. Didn't get much seperation either.

Our offense went to another level when G. Jones came back from his injury this season, he really helped out on 3rd down w/ the underneath routes. He wasnt a flashy or speedy receiver but he was a good route runner underneath & gave the QB a saftey outlet.

Except that Arnett is faster, has better hands, and doesn't look like a stiff when running routes.

He played better than the young guys because he was older not because of ability. I personally am not a fan of short slow WRs. I think V.Dallas has more ability than D.Moore. His hands are better and his lateral moves are better. He'll be our No.3 this season and I think Arnett will be recruited over. If Patterson or Bowles comes here I think they will both take Arnett's spot in the rotation. Bowles with his physical play will be a security blanket for any QB he plays with.

Dallas will never produce what Moore was able to produce at UT. Arnett will be our 3rd best receiver when he arrives on campus. Dallas has the ability to be a solid receiver but will not hold off receivers with the talent of Arnett.

Dallas will put up Bret Smith type numbers. IMO
