*Update

well originally he was scheduled to visit LSU during the McNeese state game, then switched it to th UT, and now he found out he has a game and can't make it for the UT/LSU game. He is rescheduling though, but since this involved UT as well , I figured I would pass it along.

On Friday against Princess Anne, the senior set a Beach District record with 354 yards and six touchdowns on 24 carries in his final high school football game .

That’s an amazing 14.75 yards per carry. The previous record was 340 yards set by Kellam’s Delmus Coley in 2001.

This was actually from a few weeks ago. Not a bad way to go out. Glad to see my alma mater put up such a strong defensive performance.

As for recruiting purposes, I'm not really sure why his thread got bumped.

Hughes, one of the nation’s top players in the Class of 2011, has narrowed his list of schools (in no particular order) to Virginia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and Clemson.

"It's North Carolina, Maryland, Clemson and Virginia Tech,"

"I want to know that the program is headed in the right direction and towards a national title. I want a comfort level with the academics and I want to know that they have the coaching to get me to the next level," he said.

Hughes expects contact with coaches to wrap up about three days prior to his announcement.

"All of the coaches are going to give me and my family a few days to think about everything so that I can sit down and make a decision," he said.

And he thinks one of those schools is headed to the national title? The Hokie Pokies would be the closest to that but haven't they been 'headed' there for uhhhh an extended period of time now?
