#12 Arkansas @ #7 Auburn

My problem was never with them after the ball in their hands. It was that they drop a lot balls. They've turned it around today but they did drop a lot against Alabama and they dropped every single throw on the first drive. Every pass hit them in the hands and they caught none of them.

Like I posted, that CBS writer said the same. Dropped balls are hurting Mallett. That's true.

I've definitely seen the receivers make awesome catches but I've also seen them drop easy ones.

Its probably because the recievers dont like him and dropping the balls on purpose

That's not what is hurting Mallett in te Heisman race, it's his buckling in the last two drives if the Alabama game

Overthrows have plagued him since the day he arrived in Fayetteville.

Aubies and arky's defenses are insults to the game of football lol

your looking at two fantastic offenses driven by elite quarterbacks and I'm including Wilson in that.

there are not many defenses that are going to shut down these offenses. Poor play by the QBs might shut them down, but not many defenses

I think the writer was referring to draft stock. But yeah, it probably wouldn't help the Heisman race either.

Either way, this back up is no slouch. Looks like a Steve Young or Matt Cassell situation. Damn good with someone better in front of you.

But it shouldn't look like this. Arky front 7 is an abortion and AU's back 7 is even worse.

I agree, but the two defenses are horrible and making the offenses lookthat much better. This looks to be a case of who has the ball last will win

My guess is that Arkansas will absolutely be a contender when this Smith kid has his turn to be starting QB.

bammer has 2 losses if the arky would've played the backup qb imo, he looks good under pressure, & mallet looked atrocious in the 4th qtr against bammer

But it shouldn't look like this.

what is the result when you have a # 1 offense versus a # 1 defense?? Who wins that match??

Generic question, not say that about either of these teams. Just wondering what you mean by your comment??

doubt it. not sure what it is but a couple of Tennessee games went pretty high

2003 - Tennessee 51 Alabama 43

1995 - Florida 62 Tennessee 37

1995 - Tennessee 49 Arkansas 31

a few games that are ahead of this game

they may get the highest scoring game yet. have some faith

The defense typically wins.

My point is that the up and down willy Billy wouldn't happen with even a little D.

Defense.

Ravens and Bucs won with bad quarterbacks but had great defenses

Vikings and Patriots failed to win with two of the greatest offenses ever.

Oklahoma failed to win with the greatest offense ever.

Although... the Rams did beat my Titans. Sigh...

there are great offenses that can make really good defenses look horrible. that is possible. How can someone watching two teams play know when great plays are beating good formations versus jsut horrible play? How can you know what the play calls are??
