Don't bank on it. Josh and McBee should be our starters come day 1 of practice. The only way this shouldn't be is if Edwards is great at scoring.
1 of those 2 will lose minutes as I said. Edwards is solid and the fact Moore can actually play PG makes him more usable than mcbee and Richardson both.
Why would Edwards need to be great at scoring to get minutes. Neither mcbee or Richardson are even good at scoring, so why would he need to be great?
If you really think mcbee and Richardson scoring is better than Edwards then you don't know much about Edwards.
You dot average 16ppg in juco by accident, and shoot around 45% from the field. Compare those numbers to mcbee and Richardson and tell me how they look.
Nobody has a starting spot heading into the first practice they'll be earned. Edwards would have to fall on his face to not beat out mcbee or Richardson. Remember, he is a junior not a freshman, he has experience, has the build and knows how to play the game.
This may make more sense...right now the rotation would look like this most likely:
Trae 30/ Armani 10
Jordan 15/ josh 15/ Armani 10
Edwards 30/ Joran 10
Stokes 28/ maymon 12
Maymon 16/ hall 14/ yemi 10
IMO this is what I see happening:
Trae 32/ Moore 8
McBee 20/ McRae 15/ Josh 5
Josh 10/ Edwards 20/McRae 10
Stokes 30/ Maymon 10
Maymon 20/ Hall 10/ Yemi 10
Ok so you're saying Edwards plays the most minutes, and more minutes than josh at the 3 but doesn't start, that's fine. My point like ive said is hell get more minutes than either mcbee or Richardson, and your breakdown agrees with that.
The only thing I'll add is that CCM doesn't want to play 10 guys so 1 of those guys won't be seeing the floor very often.
Also to answer your question of who will sit, my guess is Yemi or Hall. I expect Edwards and Josh to play tog some if Edwards is a decent defender. Martin likes to go small some, and if Edwards can score and Josh develops his shot some this would be a dangerous line up to push the ball up the court.
