'12 JUCO DE Denico Autry (MSU signee)

They aren't "beating" us for Brown. If we told him he could play RB like MSU is doing he would already be a Vol. If anything Beniquez's recruitment illustrates the fact that MSU is nothing compared to Tennessee.

I thought they told him they would give him a "shot" at running back if he came to Tennessee..? I agree he clearly projects best at Outside Linebacker in this league, but what is scary to me is he looks like a better RB prospect than what they currently have committed.

I just hope Lane can stay 100% healthy next year or the RB situation will be as bad as it was with Poole back there.

He plays against pretty bad competition which allows him to look good at RB. Dalton Santos would probably look good at RB too if he played for Florence. I think we'll be alright at RB if we get Bourque or Damien Williams.

I'm holding out hope that Graham's coaching will pay dividends and someone will step up like they did at USCe this year when Lattimore went down.

I agree 100% with you. He looks better than any RB we have committed right now. If we were to pull Mike Davis, then that's a different story. Hell, the Mobley kid from Powell is better than what we have right now.

You could say the same about Alden Hill up here in Ohio. The competition he faces up here is terrible.

I agree there. At least they finally have a RB's coach that will be able to focus solely on developling what he has at that position.

Well, Kentucky, MSU, and Toledo agree with you, but not our coaches or apparently Coach Graham once he was asked to evaluate our RB situation.

I remember you saying that. Personally I would have preferred to keep Cross and drop Hill. Sometimes I think the EE thing is given too much weight.

Agreed on both accounts. I would have rather had Cross too. Hopefully Dooley made the right call on that one because he's going to have to find a guy that can play at this level at that position.

Like you said I would feel a lot better about RB if they were to land either Borque or Williams.

I wouldn't consider his competition pretty bad. Granted it's not up to the level of some Texas or Florida divisions, but Alabama 6A is still pretty tough. He also has to play every night with the opposing team keying on him

I think Alabama is very underrated for high school football. The last two national champions are built on Alabama talent.

But north Alabama isn't as good as other parts of the state.

Tennessee was at its best when we raided the states of Georgia and Alabama. Alabama HS football is severely underrated on a national scale. Like I've said more than once Bama big time defense is almost all from Bama. All the starters in the secondary are from the state except for Menzie. Saban built a fence around this state as soon as he got here. And you see what's going on down there.

Hubbs says they're still trying to get an inhouse with Autry.
