'12 JUCO DE Denico Autry (MSU signee)

well this is just great. i really hope he has a fun time down there. its a huge miss, but at this point **** him.

He said he was a country boy and it felt like home there. I have been to Starkville several times, and it isn't much to right home about. I hope he enjoy's his stay there, ecspecially if Mullen and staff bolt for PSU.

Interested in hearing how he came to this decision. I'm not sure this is over. Let's give it some time.

If nothing changes, then let's all post Kermit!

"Just a quick update. Tennessee was supposed to be in his house sometime this weekend in an attempt to be the last team there. So, we'll see if Autry lets them in."

Hey guys,

Let this be a lesson learned. No one is committed... ever. We have 21 guys who say they're coming to Tennessee. None of them are coming here until they sign their LOI. That's the best way to view recruiting now.

I mean this is just hysterically funny. I always ride the recruiting rollercoaster but this was one hell of a loop. It's like the superman ride at Six Flags over Georgia, where you do the inverted flip and you lose all the blood to your head. thats what this feels like now. your like wahhhhhhht thhhhe fuuuuu. someone needs to do a rage comic about this.

First off let me say this... I don't think OCI is a fraud...

But for anyone who says LOCK... how can you expect ppl to respond any differently? When you say lock it is done...nothing to worry about...no way MSU gets in the picture...

So with that being said...anyone who uses 100% or the word lock is setting themselves up for complete failure in todays recruiting circus...

BTW...this stings....

I agree with you, but on the flip side of that, no one should ever take someone on here to heart that states "100%" or "lock" when referring to a recruit. That's just bull. One thing that is 100% is that nobody knows for sure in recruiting.

And I agree completely that this bites really bad.

I won't believe anything till VQ posts something about it or his rival page shows it. Theyre the only site i trust.

Two true freshmen will allow that from time to time. It improved as the year went on.

Ummm, anytime we played a quality team our LBs always made bad mistakes in coverage. Very good against the run.

You do realize that the Vols secondary consisted of two freshmen, a converted WR, a baseball player, and two JUCO guys that it took awhile for them to adjust.

OR you can just quit listening to posters who don't know what they are talking about just because they tell you what you want to hear.

Brian Randolph made freshman all sec and became a starter, and Coleman went from getting completely burned on plays to playing pretty good, just inconsistent. Coleman played great against Bama. So Joseph's freshemen got better too.

Let's not get carried away here. Obviously, Autry would have been a great addition to this class. However, we still have a solid d-line. Couch and Corey Miller should be very good this year. We still have a good class, even AFTER the most embarrassing Tennessee team probably ever. Danny O'Brien is a monster. If we win some damn games next year, recruits like Autry will look pretty stupid in Cowtown. Win baby win!

Go VOLS.

I didn't know you were a La Tech fan and watched their games and followed them. We started 2 true freshmen in the secondary, the only person who didn't have that problem was Teague and he was too slow to defend anything

One to start the season in Coleman. He got abused and was replaced by another CB that looked lost.

Then, once Brewer (who magically got worse) went down, Randolph came in and eventually started to play decent.

All the while, Waggner was doing nothing, Teague, Lanier, Evans were all sucking it up on the other side of the field.

What's the excuse for how bad the DBs were in 2010? I'm interested to hear them.

He's got one feather in his cap and that's the play of Eric Gordon out of the nickel spot.
